Complete transformation of kitchen, Living room, Master Suite (Bathroom, Walk in closet & bedroom with walk out) Laundry nook, and 2 cozy rooms!
With a collaborative approach we were able to remove the main bearing wall separating the kitchen from the magnificent views afforded by the main living space. Using extremely heavy steel beams we kept the ceiling height at full capacity and without the need for unsightly drops in the smooth ceiling. This modern kitchen is both functional and serves as sculpture in a house filled with fine art.
Such an amazing home!

Transitional bathrooms are defined as combining elements of one design era with those of another. Oftentimes the design elements are from adjacent eras, where one prevalent design and decoration style began to give way to another.
A shower stall can also carry a transitional theme forward. An open format, stand-up shower with glass walls and doors strikes a particularly modern pose. By pairing this design with the traditional bearing of a large porcelain tiles, to add even greater visual interest, artisanal aesthetic and gravity to the design, different design influences and eras can be seamlessly incorporated. Mixing and matching modern or vintage toilet designs is also an option, as they too can create contrast with contemporary or traditional elements of a transitional design.

In this kitchen remodel project, we had the challenge of enlarging the kitchen footprint while maintaining a kitchen and formal dining room. The limitation was an existing bathroom and long load-bearing wall that the homeowner wanted to keep intact.

We removed the walls that separated the galley kitchen, dining area and living room. As one of the walls was load-bearing, we installed a support beam, ensuring structural integrity without the intrusion of obstructive posts. Extending the kitchen area, a generously proportioned quartz vanity island now serves as both a meal preparation haven and an entertainment focal point.

Master Bedroom - Beautiful Studs-Out-Remodel in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. We gutted this house "to the studs," taking it down to its original floor plan. Drywall, insulation, flooring, tile, cabinetry, doors and windows, trim and base, plumbing, the roof, landscape, and ceiling fixtures were stripped away, leaving nothing but beams and unfinished flooring. Essentially, we demolished the home's interior to rebuild it from scratch.

"Swaddled" (Left) - A simple statement of protection and peace, "Swaddled" is a picture of contrast and balance. Just as a newborn is snuggly wrapped for its own comfort during the early days of stark, new reality--"Swaddled" can signal safety and rest during grown up times of change and challenge. A focal point for stability, this painting bears the long lasting message that present circumstances are always temporary and that we should never stop allowing ourselves to be swaddled. 48"x72", Acrylic on Canvas with Fabric Trim.
"Relativity" (Right, three pieces) The law of conservation of momentum can be derived from Newton's second law of motion (force equals mass times acceleration, or F=ma). This concept was the inspiration for Relativity. Simple and clean in its design, yet portraying the concept of action and reaction...this piece is calming, yet inspiring. An ultra-modern new build was the original inspiration for this design. It's fun to be given an opportunity to paint pictures for a brand new home that is like a gallery. I wanted to honor the theme of a mid-century revival home in the designs I made. A king size bed in a spacious master bedroom allowed for art that was dramatic and inspirational. I ended up making three pieces of the same design. One piece can stand alone, or multiples can be grouped together to cover a large area and create impact. 24"x48" each (3), Acrylic on Canvas with Fabric Trim.

Drawers behind cabinet doors eliminate the "lost space" at the back of deep cabinets.
We remodeled this kitchen to bring needed updates and to open up the kitchen into the living space. The living room used to be separated from the kitchen by a wall and lowered by a few steps. We removed the load-bearing wall and replaced it with a beautiful rustic wood beam, and we raised the living room floor to be level with the kitchen. The old wood paneling was replaced with drywall and painted to brighten the space. The fireplace was reconfigured with a new mantel, new brick pieced in to match the existing brick where we moved the mantel, and new built-in cabinetry featuring custom pull-out file drawers, space for the TV, and shelves for books.
