This outdated and deteriorating master bathroom needed a modern update after sustaining a leak. We had worked with them in the past on their kitchen and they knew the design and remodeling level of excellence we brought to the table, so they hired us to design a modern master-suite. We removed a garden tub, allowing for a walk-in shower, complete with a heated towel rack and drying area. We were able to incorporate showcasing of their orchids in the design with an orchid shelf on the exterior of the shower, as well as searching high and low to provide vessel bowl sinks that had a unique shape and utilizing contemporary lights. The end result is a spa-like master suite, that was beyond what they had hoped for and has them loving where they live. Discussions have begun for their next project.

When designer Rachel Peterson of Simply Baths, Inc. first met this young, stylish couple at their house they had a small handful of items they knew they really wanted in their master bathroom: a freestanding tub, a chandelier, a larger shower and more counter space. But the truth was, the bath needed a major face-lift. The space was outdated and lacked personality. It certainly didn't reflect the homeowners and their elegant aesthetic. The combination of stone and wood tiles lends just enough of a rustic flair to bring a little bit of the outdoors in and while helping to balance some of the feminine elements in the room with simple masculine touches. Michael Merrill Design Studio remodeled this contemporary bathroom using organic elements - including a shaved pebble floor, linen textured vinyl wall covering, and a watery green wall tile. Here the cantilevered vanity is veneered in a rich walnut.

This West University Master Bathroom remodel was quite the challenge. Our design team rework the walls in the space along with a structural engineer to create a more even flow. In the begging you had to walk through the study off master to get to the wet room. We recreated the space to have a unique modern look. The custom vanity is made from Tree Frog Veneers with countertops featuring a waterfall edge. We suspended overlapping circular mirrors with a tiled modular frame. The tile is from our beloved Porcelanosa right here in Houston. The large wall tiles completely cover the walls from floor to ceiling . The freestanding shower/bathtub combination features a curbless shower floor along with a linear drain. We cut the wood tile down into smaller strips to give it a teak mat affect. The wet room has a wall-mount toilet with washlet. The bathroom also has other favorable features, we turned the small study off the space into a wine / coffee bar with a pull out refrigerator drawer.

This luxurious master bathroom is a good mix between traditional and transitional, a perfect representation of the homeowners. They wanted our honest advice and opinions, as this is not their strong suite, so we put our designers to work. They wanted an updated master bathroom with a timeless, yet not too trendy look, but still flow into the style of their existing home. We kept the layout of the bathroom the same but removed all finishes and started with a clean slate. We installed a beautiful freestanding pedestal tub which is surrounded by Arabescato Carrara honed marble walls and flooring. The shower floor and accent also has the Arabescato Carrara but in a herringbone pattern which adds nice detail work. The clients like everything to have a place and wanted easy storage solutions out of sight, so the bathroom looks clean. To accomplish this, two shower niches were placed above the built in bench to hide the shampoo bottles, as well as one at the end of the bathtub. Speakman Anystream brushed nickel shower head and Rohl Verona Satin Nickel hand shower, trim and grab bar were installed in the shower, as well as a fogless shower mirror, so the client can shave while he’s in the shower. All new recessed panel soft close cabinets were installed and we added a seated make-up area to her vanity. Three beautiful antiqued silver leaf vanity mirrors were installed bringing out the traditional touch to this bathroom. Each mirror was flanked with Thomas O’Brien Bryant vanity sconces. And to top it all off, the simple Oona 6-light pendant hung from the barrel vaulted ceiling painted in deep purple adding a unique touch to this beautiful classic bathroom. The wall mounted sink has a builtin tile shelf and large mirror with recessed up and down lighting concealed from behind.The double sink from Ikea floats about the floor and offers considerable storage in the 4 drawers. Side closets further allow for closed storage giving the whole space a neat and modern look.

This beautiful master bathroom features a stunning acrylic freestanding tub with a freestanding telephone tub faucet. The beautiful wall tile around the shower and tub area is an 18x18 nu travertine walnut matte. The walk-in shower has a custom glass enclosure. The floor tile is a neutal AZ 12x24 metalwood Iridio that compliments the other tile and blends well with the wall color. The counter top on the double undermount sink vanity is a quartz with a waterfall edge. Finally the stunning vanity in a Sollid designer Hamilton cream style door with a brown glaze. Traditional master bathroom in need of both form and function update. Aging in place was a primary focus for the project. We changed out a large jacuzzi tub shower combination for large walk-in shower. The shower bench, handheld shower and grab bar make shower use universal. Lighted mirrors and an articulating shaving mirror boost visibility in the vanity area. Marble tile, both Carrara and Bardiglio, in various shapes add to the overall luxurious feel in the bathroom.
