The owners of this colonial-style house wanted to renovate their home to increase space and improve flow. We built a two-story addition that included a dining room and bar on the first floor (off of the family room) and a new master bathroom (creating a master suite). RUDLOFF Custom Builders has won Best of Houzz for Customer Service in 2014, 2015 2016 and 2017. We also were voted Best of Design in 2016, 2017 and 2018, which only 2% of professionals receive. Even with limited space, we used every inch and as much sustainable material as possible. This fresh small bath shower is virtually unrecognizable from the original dark, cramped and uninviting shower we first encountered here. Now it's vverything you'd ever want in a dream shower, fit into a 34” x 41” footprint. A beauty clad in gleaming white subway tiles, honed Statuary marble and the clearest Starphire frameless glass enclosure allows natural light to flood this tiny sanctuary and make it feel much larger than it is.

"When I first visited the client's house, and before seeing the space, I sat down with my clients to understand their needs. They told me they were getting ready to remodel their bathroom and master closet, and they wanted to get some ideas on how to make their closet better. The told me they wanted to figure out the closet before they did anything, so they presented their ideas to me, which included building walls in the space to create a larger master closet. I couldn't visual what they were explaining, so we went to the space. As soon as I got in the space, it was clear to me that we didn't need to build walls, we just needed to have the current closets torn out and replaced with wardrobes, create some shelving space for shoes and build an island with drawers in a bench. When I proposed that solution, they both looked at me with big smiles on their faces and said, 'That is the best idea we've heard, let's do it', then they asked me if I could design the vanity as well. Inspiration for a contemporary bedroom remodel in Austin

This is the master bathroom shower. We expanded the bathroom area by taking over the upstairs apartment kitchen when we combined apartments. This shower features a teak wood shower floor for a luxurious feel under foot. Also in teak is the shower nook for soaps and bottles. The master bath cabinet layout was inspired by the high ceilings and the functionality of a master bath. Having a large tower added extra storage and added to the eloquent space with its size. The quartz countertops created a clean look in the dark gray. The large shower tiles added texture with the veining. The shower niches were a great spot to add more character and whimsy to the white and gray shower.

Inspiration for a small farmhouse master white tile medium tone wood floor and beige floor drop-in bathtub remodel in Grand Rapids with shaker cabinets, turquoise cabinets, gray walls, an undermount sink, solid surface countertops and a hinged shower door

This project is a complete remodel of the clients old master bathroom into a new master bath and guest bathroom. The old master bath was a dated early 90's style bath with porcelain tiled tub stand and a carpet floor. We broke apart the old master bath and turned it into a usable guest bathroom and master bathroom. These new spaces offer a more stylish design and plenty of modern conveniences. Because we were doing a double bathroom remodel we decided to go with a different theme for each room. A warm theme for the guest bathroom, with reds and creams, and a cool theme for the master bathroom, with blues and whites. This project ran into a few hiccups along the way but thanks to a understanding client and a constant drive to get everything done right we created a space that everyone should love.

Once upon a time, this bathroom featured the following: No entry door, with a master tub and vanities open to the master bedroom. Fading, outdated, 80's-style yellow oak cabinetry. A bulky hexagonal window with clear glass. No privacy. A carpeted floor. In a bathroom. It’s safe to say that none of these features were appreciated by our clients. Understandably. We knew we could help. ​ We changed the layout. The tub and the double shower are now enclosed behind frameless glass, a very practical and beautiful arrangement. The clean linear grain cabinetry in medium tone is accented beautifully by white countertops and stainless steel accessories. New lights, beautiful tile and glass mosaic bring this space into the 21st century. End result: a calm, light, modern bathroom for our client to enjoy.
