From our initial meeting through the completion of a very complex project, BuildSense was exemplary at every step. They listened carefully, worked seamlessly with our architects (Ellen Cassilly and Megan Patnaik) and created a gorgeous, high-quality, livable result for our family. The best part is how they helped us navigate through challenges, whether it was covid, weather, or concealed conditions in our older house, they communicated frequently and clearly, and they were absolutely transparent throughout the process. The experience they bring, and their relationships with their partners and vendors, assured us the job was done right. We interviewed other builders. Our experience working with BuildSense was first rate. We chose a modern design from their catalogue of homes and the design team modified it to best suit the site and our lifestyle. They were great to collaborate with on many details of the house, and skillfully and thoughtful executed these ideas. We encountered some delays beyond their control, but BuildSense went above and beyond to make sure that any issue was rectified and that installation of all systems was done properly. BuildSense designed and built this house with great attention to detail, much care and kindness. We hired LE Meyers Builders to do a full scale renovation of a historic home in Chapel Hill. Part way through construction, his business merged with the BuildSense team. The people Leon's business brings to BuildSense are invaluable. His team has access to some of the best subcontractors and tradesmen in the triangle area, all of whom produce excellent work in an extremely timely manner. They stuck to the timeline, stayed in budget, and work was completed as specified. Since his merger, working with BuildSense has been effortless. Everyone has put customer satisfaction first, and we have been satisfied with their response and work each step of the way. We trusted everyone that was working on the house, especially the super on our job. They did an excellent job of communicating to our interior designers and to us. We highly recommend this business for any home construction or renovation project.

BuildSense was one of 3 contractors that we interviewed for the remodel of our home. Our original idea was to add an addition to provide a bathroom, a better functioning living room, and mud room for our family of 7. BuildSense was the only firm that really looked at how we were using the existing space we already had and offered ideas and options to optimize that space rather then adding square footage. They were great through the design phase, bringing new ideas to the table, listening to our input and feedback. Construction was done almost exactly on schedule and ended up being right on budget. And they kept fighting for the ideas we wanted, even when something was difficult or hard to find. We love our new space and how it reflects our character and works so well for our family. We'd highly recommend the entire BuildSense team.

BuildSense "deconstructed" our old house (a take apart, not a tear-down), and designed and built us a brand new home with many energy-saving features. Needless to say, this was a huge job! The process was enjoyable from start to finish due primarily to their collaborative attitude, professionalism, and knowledge. Our home happens to be in a modern style, but they are proficient in all styles. They communicated well and kept to budget. And afterwards, they have always been responsive and available if we had questions. But mainly, these are honest folks who know their job and are passionate about doing good work and creating joy for their clients.
