We began designing Don Fuego at the start of 2024, keeping four key elements at the forefront: Moody, Sophisticated, Bold, and Memorable. Inspired by Día de los Muertos, this space pays homage to those who are no longer with us physically but remain with us spiritually. Every design choice reflects this essence—deep, rich textures, dramatic lighting, and custom elements that make Don Fuego a true work of art. One of the focal points is the custom-designed checkout counter, featuring a striking porcelain slab that embodies everything Don Fuego stands for: fire, intensity, and individuality. The moment we saw it, we knew it was destined for this space. Design is all about the details, and Don Fuego is no exception. From late-night idea exchanges to meticulous material selections, every element was chosen with intention. We introduced texture through limewash, mimicking the organic feel of a grave, and Roman clay, sculpted into arches reminiscent of traditional Mexican architecture. Lighting is the jewelry of a space, and in Don Fuego, it sets the mood. We layered task, decorative, ambient, and accent lighting to create an immersive atmosphere. One of our favorite details? A light fixture inspired by the cascarón, a cracked egg symbolizing good luck and prosperity in Mexican culture. The moment we discovered it, we knew it belonged here—to bring blessings to our clients and everyone who steps inside this curated experience. Don Fuego isn’t just a space—it’s a feeling, a story, a tribute. ✨

Set within minutes of Sugarbush Ski Resort, this high end rental property is sure to make any ski groups visit a memorable one. Designed to host a large family or group of friends, this project has a host of amazing details. The beautiful hardscaping and landscaping around a sunk in hot tub, as well as the outdoor fire pit, will make makes Apre’ Ski time second to none. The bar downstairs helps to warm up the card game or movie night. Plenty of bedrooms, with a unique custom built bunk room, with full size beds, make a fun getaway for multiple couples to sleep comfortably. Well thought out entry, with boot dryers, and custom handmade locker style builtins and ski/snowboard holders give this home a practical, yet stylish personality. Handmade local cabinetry, metal work, walnut island top, custom masonry and tile, and well as many other features make this a truly special place to spend time with those that matter most.

The homeowners of this large single-family home in Fairfax Station suburb of Virginia, desired a remodel of their master bathroom. The homeowners selected an open concept for the master bathroom. We relocated and enlarged the shower. The prior built-in tub was removed and replaced with a slip-free standing tub. The commode was moved the other side of the bathroom in its own space. The bathroom was enlarged by taking a few feet of space from an adjacent closet and bedroom to make room for two separate vanity spaces. The doorway was widened which required relocating ductwork and plumbing to accommodate the spacing. A new barn door is now the bathroom entrance. Each of the vanities are equipped with decorative mirrors and sconce lights. We removed a window for placement of the new shower which required new siding and framing to create a seamless exterior appearance. Elegant plank porcelain floors with embedded hexagonal marble inlay for shower floor and surrounding tub make this memorable transformation. The shower is equipped with multi-function shower fixtures, a hand shower and beautiful custom glass inlay on feature wall. A custom French-styled door shower enclosure completes this elegant shower area. The heated floors and heated towel warmers are among other new amenities.

On first glance, this staircase reads as restrained. White oak treads rise with natural warmth, metal balusters hold their disciplined rhythm, and the painted black railing traces a clean, straight path upward. Then you notice the elliptical stringer wrap, and the whole composition shifts. Unlike a circular curve drawn with a compass, an ellipse requires mathematical calculation and a craftsman who knows how to make that complexity disappear. Here, it does exactly that. Natural light finishes the story. Moving through the space across the day, it deepens the oak grain, catches the metal, and lets the black railing guide the eye along the handrail's elliptical path from start to finish. This home was a love affair as it was a light filled 1956 house that needed a complete face lift. I literally took it down to the studs. I raised the ceilings and added a new master suite wing, and added onto the entry with new doors and windows. It had the potential to be a beauty with its lush greenery and private setting.

The existing landscape needed some major updating, the space was functional but not aesthetically pleasing or had any sense of warmth to it. The existing deck and pool cabanas were old and needed a face lift. New patio stone, copings and updating the exterior of the cabanas made a huge change on the pool patio. A SunLouvre Pergola created a shaded space for lounging. The old deck footprint remained the same but materials were replaced and decorative beams to frame the kitchen were added. It allowed the outdoor kitchen to tie into the deck space without it also being covered. Decorative screens were installed behind the kitchen and pergola to create a cohesion between the spaces and add some filtered privacy. To break up the interlock, stepping stones laid in turf on a 45 degree angle were installed under the firepit space, for a soft feel. The space is now not only cohesive, but also memorable for it's various unique features
