In the community of Rosedale site this quaint design that was meant to blend into the 60 yr old architecture of this home. A front entrance consisting of an exquisite Indian Sandstone and Quartzite walkway, concave and convex circular stairs offer an interesting yet inviting entrance to the front door of the home. The backyard maintained and salvaged an existing heritage concrete fence that was very memorable to the homeowner. Keeping with this simple and classic design our patios were surrounded by a custom brick retaining wall that housed a mature producing apple tree. Special care was given to ensure the tree and it's expansive roots were protected during construction. The existing landscape needed some major updating, the space was functional but not aesthetically pleasing or had any sense of warmth to it. The existing deck and pool cabanas were old and needed a face lift. New patio stone, copings and updating the exterior of the cabanas made a huge change on the pool patio. A SunLouvre Pergola created a shaded space for lounging. The old deck footprint remained the same but materials were replaced and decorative beams to frame the kitchen were added. It allowed the outdoor kitchen to tie into the deck space without it also being covered. Decorative screens were installed behind the kitchen and pergola to create a cohesion between the spaces and add some filtered privacy. To break up the interlock, stepping stones laid in turf on a 45 degree angle were installed under the firepit space, for a soft feel. The space is now not only cohesive, but also memorable for it's various unique features

How do you make an impact within a familiar project typology? For our first cafe for Spro Coffee Lab, and their flagship location, we combined a long-held vision of a cafe with a faceted ceiling, their red & white material palette, and the building owner’s desire for an iconic street presence into a unified, minimalist language of angles and facets that extends throughout the cafe. Overhead, a faceted soffit juts out dramatically over the service bar, the two objects mirroring each other’s footprints and satisfying Health Code requirements for a smooth, cleanable surface overhead. Concealing an egress corridor above that bisects the space, the soffit presents a bold visual gesture through the floor-to-ceiling glass walls of this corner space, beckoning passersby inside. The service bar points toward the entry, with a minimalist espresso-tap system as the focal point, and angled sections branching off in both directions to create seating and service areas and direct customer flow. Throughout the space, surfaces customers interact with are clad in chocolate-colored cork, providing a highly textured, tactile contrast to the smooth, white primary materials and complementing the bronze window system, red logos, and customer seating. The unfinished cork is durable and stain-resistant, resilient to the touch, provides acoustic dampening, and is highly sustainable. The result is a cafe that goes far beyond the project brief, creating a memorable experience and an iconic presence for the brand.

The large windows provide a lot of natural light in this open floor plan. the raised-panel cabinets are really shown off because of all this light. What a great room to cook memorable meals and entertain!

This project was a truly special and memorable kitchen remodel. Our clients lived in a beautifully converted old church, and their existing cabinets were still in great shape—making cabinet refacing the perfect choice. They selected our Mission door style from the Kitchen Solvers Classic Collection, pairing Downey-colored uppers with rich Black Tea base cabinets for a striking two-tone look. We then installed a gorgeous Calacatta Laza Oro quartz countertop, complemented by Urbano Pure ceramic subway tile for the backsplash. To complete the transformation, we added elegant cove crown molding for a polished, timeless finish. The result? An absolutely stunning kitchen that blends character, history, and modern style.
