After remodeling their Kitchen last year, we were honored by a request to remodel this cute and tiny little. guest bathroom. Wood looking tile gave the natural serenity of a spa and dark floor tile finished the look with a mid-century modern / Asian touch.

What do you do when your master suite addition is limited in width. It is not an issue for the bedroom since it enjoys the full width of the 16' but what about the bathroom and closet that you need to be grand in design as well? In this bathroom you can see the solution to this age-old question, how to make a narrow space look grand. The end of this bathroom boosts a huge 9' wide by 6' deep shower wet area with a freestanding tub on one side and a bench, niche and window on the other. The vaulted ceiling above has 3 large skylights with one of them directly above the shower area. The skylights provide a huge amount of natural light that cancels any need for artificial lighting to be used during the daytime. The main wall is dark Pietra grigio porcelain book matched slabs, while the sides are 48"x48" off-white porcelain tiles. The plumbing fixtures are Kohler Anthem digital control for the minimalistic look. Right before you get into the wet area you will have a niche with a built-in seating area the doubles as a storage/laundry cabinet and two thick shelves made of Alder wood to compliment the vanity, the beam and the water closet door. A 10' vanity with a large 9.5' mirror is a great trick to create a sensation of space in the narrow 5' passageway. The final touch is the hidden water closet, the space was taken from the Walk-in closet entry area to hide the toilet from the beautiful spa looking bathroom. The last item to be mentioned is the heated floor that is controlled by a timer to make sure the flooring is warm to the touch on the cold winter nights. The walk-in closet was custom built to accommodate all the client’s storage requirements, the different deeper and shallower niches that were created by space added to the bathroom are used for shallow wall led mirror or a deeper suites hanger and the crown jewel of this closet the steam closet by LG that provide the capabilities of a steamer / dry-cleaning in your private closet space. A center drawer cabinet with glass top cabinets with built-in LED strips and puck lights create a lovely ambient lighting if needed and show casing the different perfumes and handbags. Talking about show casing, how about the his/hers shoes towers on each side of the cabinets in the middle? The master bedroom is a bit more craftsman and cozy. Whitewashed shiplap on the vaulted ceiling creates a more of a countryside look with vast number of windows and a sliding door to allow both eastern and western light to penetrate the room.

The Granada Hills ADU project was designed from the beginning to be a replacement home for the aging mother and father of this wonderful client. The goal was to reach the max. allowed ADU size but at the same time to not affect the backyard with a pricey addition and not to build up and block the hillside view of the property. The final trick was a combination of all 3 options! We converted an extra-large 3 car garage, added about 300sq. half on the front and half on the back and the biggest trick was incorporating the existing main house guest bedroom and bath into the mix. Final result was an amazingly large and open 1100+sq 2Br+2Ba with a dedicated laundry/utility room and huge vaulted ceiling open space for the kitchen, living room and dining area. Since the parents were reaching an age where assistance will be required the entire home was done with ADA requirements in mind, both bathrooms are fully equipped with many helpful grab bars and both showers are curb less so no need to worry about a step. It’s hard to notice by the photos by the roof is a hip roof, this means exposed beams, king post and huge rafter beams that were covered with real oak wood and stained to create a contrasting effect to the lighter and brighter wood floor and color scheme. Systems wise we have a brand new electrical 3.5-ton AC unit, a 400 AMP new main panel with 2 new sub panels and of course my favorite an 80amp electrical tankless water heater and recirculation pump.

This project involved tearing off an all-weather porch and building an addition in its place. We added a bank of custom windows to create a light and airy kitchen. Custom cabinetry hides all the appliances, except the stove. The tile resembles hard wood to give an earthy look with the benefit of tile.

Updating a recently built town home in culver city for a wonderful family was a very enjoyable project for us. a classic shaker kitchen with double row of upper cabinets due to the extra high ceiling. butcher block island with a sink as a work area. The centerpiece of it all is the amazing handmade Moroccan zellige tiles that were used as the backsplash. going all the way to the ceiling around the window area and finished off in the corners with a black matt Schluter corner system.

This modern tropical backyard remodel is a vibrant and stylish retreat, perfectly designed for both relaxation and entertainment. The sleek polished concrete floors of the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, offering a sophisticated yet laid-back vibe. Lush green planters made from formed concrete and wrapped in artificial wood planks are thoughtfully placed throughout the space, infusing the design with nature and enhancing the tropical atmosphere. The pool, framed with elegant white stone coping, is the centerpiece of the backyard, surrounded by bold accents of orange, green, and deep blue. It offers a refreshing escape, perfect for unwinding or cooling off. Just beside the pool, a tiki bar room addition invites guests to indulge in drinks and conversation, blending playful charm with refined design. The warm orange tones of the bar complement the surrounding deep blue and green hues, creating an inviting and vibrant ambiance. The design flows effortlessly from the outdoor space into the newly constructed ADU, an architectural gem that stands on its own. Inside, polished concrete floors continue the modern aesthetic, while the striking orange kitchen cabinets serve as an eye-catching focal point in the open-concept space. Light blue doors bring a refreshing touch, adding to the laid-back, tropical vibe throughout. This remodel combines practicality with playful luxury, making it the perfect sanctuary for both everyday living and entertaining guests.

This hallway bathroom is mostly used by the son of the family so you can see the clean lines and monochromatic colors selected for the job. the once enclosed shower has been opened and enclosed with glass and the new wall mounted vanity is 60" wide but is only 18" deep to allow a bigger passage way to the end of the bathroom where the alcove tub and the toilet is located. A once useless door to the outside at the end of the bathroom became a huge tall frosted glass window to allow a much needed natural light to penetrate the space but still allow privacy.

A Modern home that wished for more warmth... An addition and reconstruction of approx. 750sq. area. That included new kitchen, office, family room and back patio cover area. The floors are polished concrete in a dark brown finish to inject additional warmth vs. the standard concrete gray most of us familiar with. A huge 16' multi sliding door by La Cantina was installed, this door is aluminum clad (wood finish on the interior of the door). The vaulted ceiling allowed us to incorporate an additional 3 picture windows above the sliding door for more afternoon light to penetrate the space. Notice the hidden door to the office on the left, the SASS hardware (hidden interior hinges) and the lack of molding around the door makes it almost invisible.

This kitchen remodel project aims to blend classic elegance with modern functionality, creating a warm and inviting space for chefs and amateur cooks alike. A vast and comfortable place for cooking and gatherings. The design will feature rich wood cabinetry with intricate detailing, complemented by a timeless natural travertine subway tile backsplash and a durable, quartz with granite look countertop. The two large windows with the irregular diagonal wall were a great opportunity to create open and clean space with no upper cabinets that provide ample amount of natural light and a break in the dark wood finish upper cabinets. A full height pantry wall houses the built-in fridge, built-in oven and a hidden passageway to a walk-in pantry room. A double sized countertop edge detail emphasizes the beauty of the granite look that quartz stone provides. Wrought-iron hardware and pendant lights complete the look of this classical traditional kitchen.

When our client bought this house, it was stuck in limbo between the traditional interior and a 90's modern structure. The direction we took was a combination of calm beige color scheme with clean lines and smooth surfaces. The continuation of the same materials throughout the house finally bonded all the different spaces into a singular home. The two guest bathrooms were made with Cloe zellige style tiles and custom floating vanities made from white oak. The same oak was used also for the built-in TV wall as floating shelves and base cabinets with a large, tiled center piece for the recessed TV and the electric fireplace. The kitchen also received some of the white oak love in the form of the Island and the recessed cooking area. The biggest issue with the kitchen space was the lack of proportions between the width and its length vs. the extreme height of the vaulted ceiling. The solution I came up with was a secondary line of wall cabinets to be the same depth as the full height units to create a wrap around and make the space more proportionate. Continuing to the master bathroom, here we have a true walk-in master bath suite, no door needed with this size of space. All the walls received porcelain semi slab treatment. (72x36 porcelain tile) a lot of work went into selecting the correct tile pieces to give it the effect of a single slab installation but without the added cost. All fixtures are by Kohler with their fantastic modern gold finish. The result was a perfect flow of calm beige colors and warmth of natural wood throughout.

Bathroom - transitional bathroom idea in Minneapolis

The project involved a spacious 900 sq. ft. master suite addition, complemented by an expanded kitchen and dining area. What began as a simple addition evolved into a complete home remodel, including a guest bathroom and adjacent his-and-her offices. The design vision centered on clean, modern lines combined with warm, earthy tones and natural materials. In the kitchen, the absence of upper cabinets creates a minimalist feel, with sleek floating shelves illuminated by built-in LED lights. The hood was integrated into the ceiling/wall, finished with drywall and plaster to seamlessly blend into the space, making it almost invisible. A semi-transparent barn door conceals the bar and laundry area, which were thoughtfully incorporated into the kitchen design. The master suite features a spacious bathroom with custom details, including a floating vanity designed to exact specifications. The 4” thick waterfall countertop wraps around the vanity for a refined look. The mirrors, also functional as storage, feature hidden medicine cabinets built directly into the wall. The bathroom floor is lined with warm beige tiles, complemented by 3D peach-colored tiles in the shower and vanity wall, adding texture and warmth to the space. An elegant architectural light fixture, positioned between the two mirrors, enhances the overall ambiance.
