Warm and inviting this new construction home, by New Orleans Architect Al Jones, and interior design by Bradshaw Designs, lives as if it's been there for decades. Charming details provide a rich patina. The old Chicago brick walls, the white slurried brick walls, old ceiling beams, and deep green paint colors, all add up to a house filled with comfort and charm for this dear family.

Situated on a 3.5 acre, oak-studded ridge atop Santa Barbara's Riviera, the Greene Compound is a 6,500 square foot custom residence with guest house and pool capturing spectacular views of the City, Coastal Islands to the south, and La Cumbre peak to the north. Carefully sited to kiss the tips of many existing large oaks, the home is rustic Mediterranean in style which blends integral color plaster walls with Santa Barbara sandstone and cedar board and batt.
Landscape Architect Lane Goodkind restored the native grass meadow and added a stream bio-swale which complements the rural setting. 20' mahogany, pocketing sliding doors maximize the indoor / outdoor Santa Barbara lifestyle by opening the living spaces to the pool and island view beyond. A monumental exterior fireplace and camp-style margarita bar add to this romantic living. Discreetly buried in the mission tile roof, solar panels help to offset the home's overall energy consumption. Truly an amazing and unique property, the Greene Residence blends in beautifully with the pastoral setting of the ridge while complementing and enhancing this Riviera neighborhood.

The homeowners wished to have an updated kitchen with a large window where they can see their established gardens. The gardens inspired the soft color palette where mint green cabinets top the oak wood floors. The client used white and black granite for the counters to achieve the look of marble and soapstone without the maintenance. The island seating helps when grandchildren come to visit for snack time.

Accent walls don't need to be small. Check out this teal painted wall that ties the dining area and living space together in this Ottawa town home.

Life is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance you must keep moving. by Albert Einstein.
I have designed this Guest Bedroom with lot of love. I do want my guests to feel relaxed, connected with nature at the same time luxurious and earthy. so I mixed up modern farm house style with my own little touch of organic mural art. Life is not always perfect and we all must enjoy our journey. ....green is calming with perfect pure white, bringing different textures of shimmer, jute, metal, white fur rug, and white drapery makes it all serene.
so please ENJOY THE RIDE !!!

This adorable beach cottage is in the heart of the village of La Jolla in San Diego. The goals were to brighten up the space and be the perfect beach get-away for the client whose permanent residence is in Arizona. Some of the ways we achieved the goals was to place an extra high custom board and batten in the great room and by refinishing the kitchen cabinets (which were in excellent shape) white. We created interest through extreme proportions and contrast. Though there are a lot of white elements, they are all offset by a smaller portion of very dark elements. We also played with texture and pattern through wallpaper, natural reclaimed wood elements and rugs. This was all kept in balance by using a simplified color palate minimal layering.
I am so grateful for this client as they were extremely trusting and open to ideas. To see what the space looked like before the remodel you can go to the gallery page of the website www.cmnaturaldesigns.com

This 1980s bathroom was gutted and redesigned to fit with the craftsman aesthetic of the rest of the house. A continuous band of handmade Motawi ginkgo tiles runs the perimeter of the room. Rich green walls (Benjamin Moore CC-664 Provincal Park) provide a contrast to the crisp white subway tiles in two sizes and the wainscot (Benjamin Moore CC-20 Decorator’s White).

We’ve come across this particularly where twin’s share a room, and the immediate question is: should we double up on everything or give them their own unique items? Well, the answer (for once) is you can do both! Take a minute to think what characteristics each child displays and slot in favorite colors, tendencies toward frills or no-frills, introvert, extrovert, tomboy, girlie and combine with any functional needs you’ll need to accommodate. Dream up the style you’d like to portray the space in, and then divide and conquer with variations in PALETTE.

A bespoke residence, designed to suit its owner in every way. The result of a collaborative vision comprising the collective passion, taste, energy, and experience of our client, the architect, the builder, the utilities contractors, and ourselves, this home was planned to combine the best elements in the best ways, to complement a thoughtful, healthy, and green lifestyle not simply for today, but for years to come. In the home's study, the homeowner requested a modern masculine design in a color "that was something different and unexpected." "What about green??" was our reply. And he loved the idea! Our team transformed the once all white space into a sophisticated study. First, we smoothed the existing drywall and added panel moulding, a chair rail and crown moulding. Next, we replaced the ceiling fan with a modern acrylic light fixture and added a sleek picture light between the new bookcases. Luxurious custom drapery panels, a remote-control window shade, upholstered guest chairs and a soft rug add warmth to the space. A modern desk and bookcases and a comfortable office chair complete the space. Now, this handsome office is ready to work!

This vintage style bathroom was inspired by it's 1930's art deco roots. The goal was to recreate a space that felt like it was original. With lighting from Rejuvenation, tile from B&W tile and Kohler fixtures, this is a small bathroom that packs a design punch. Interior Designer- Marilynn Taylor, The Taylored Home

Vistafolia's innovative and flexible Artificial Green Wall design offers real customer value, providing excellent customized solutions for any client requirement. This Seattle roof terrace had a very long, south-facing space with walls clad in metal sheeting, creating an environment too hot and inhospitable for real planting. The limited area coverage was also a big issue, as putting in living plant systems would significantly reduce the floor space and hinder mobility.
Our Vistafolia Panels, which can be customized to fit any conceivable dimension, fulfilled the client’s desire to look out to beautiful greenery by creating a simple solution to the problem with our versatile system and design expertise.
