This custom built Mission style home, set high on a cliff overlooking the Long Island Sound, features beautifully designed interior spaces, to reflect it's architecture. These wonderful homeowners' turned to Lakeville Kitchen Designer, Kathleen Fredrich, to help them bring their dream kitchen to life. Evidence of classic Mission style are incorporated in the island , on the hood and in the columns of the room divide. We selected Buckingham, by Cambria, a Quartz material, for the counter tops, to create a warm blend of the painted and the cherry wood cabinetry. Twisted oil rubbed bronze hardware, by Top Knobs, and lighting fixtures by Hubbardton Forge, add a subtle accent to the gourmet stainless steel 48" Wolf Range.

Quartersawn oak mission style kitchen finished in our custom blend Russet Oak stain. An 8 burner American Range cook top is flanked with pull out spice columns, deep drawers and two utensil drawers. Verde Peacock granite accents the warm tones of the wood.

Recycling Bin Pull-Out Storage for kitchen Cabinetry. The key to creating an authentic Craftsman-styled kitchen is by embracing those details that embody hand-craftsmanship and hand-joinery. As a response to mass production and abundance of cheaply made goods, the craftsman design movement achieved prominence in the early 19900’s and recognized value in the work of the craftsman and artisan. The handiwork of the cabinetmaker was idealized, and an appreciation for quality and craftsmanship was celebrated. Homes of this period were designed with an open, airy floor plan and a central hearth or gathering area. Woodwork and cabinetry became architectural focal points in warm, wood tones and joinery techniques were prominently featured. Old California Mission Style home remodeled from funky 1970's cottage with no style. Now this looks like a real old world home that fits right into the Ojai, California landscape. Handmade custom sized terra cotta tiles throughout, with dark stain and wax makes for a worn, used and real live texture from long ago. Wrought iron Spanish lighting, new glass doors and wood windows to capture the light and bright valley sun. The owners are from India, so we incorporated Indian designs and antiques where possible. An outdoor shower, and an outdoor hallway are new additions, along with the olive tree, craned in over the new roof. A courtyard with Spanish style outdoor fireplace with Indian overtones border the exterior of the courtyard. Distressed, stained and glazed ceiling beams, handmade doors and cabinetry help give an old world feel.

A light stain on Quarter Sawn Oak cabinetry really shows off the unique grain in this wood. A mission style crown is in keeping with the Seattle doors and slab drawer fronts. Note the 3" stiles and rails on the doors in full overlay design. A bread board, appliance garage and pull-out spice rack just left of the sink base add function to the kitchen. Valances with shelves over the windows provide nice display areas in this kitchen. Holiday Kitchens provides a lifetime warranty on their cabinetry and many of the style options are offered at no extra charge. The home owner's hardware choice of knobs on the doors and cup pulls on the drawers is in keeping with this mission style. Also note the cup pull on the waste basket pull-out left of the super susan base corner cabinet.

This Lansing, MI kitchen remodel is a distinctive mission style design with Medallion Cabinetry flat panel kitchen cabinets in a warm wood finish. The design is accented by black matte Richelieu hardware and black GE appliances. A solid surface Corian countertop with a 1" coved backsplash beautifully finishes off the design, topped by a white subway tile backsplash.
