Situated on the west slope of Mt. Baker Ridge, this remodel takes a contemporary view on traditional elements to maximize space, lightness and spectacular views of downtown Seattle and Puget Sound. We were approached by Vertical Construction Group to help a client bring their 1906 craftsman into the 21st century. The original home had many redeeming qualities that were unfortunately compromised by an early 2000’s renovation. This left the new homeowners with awkward and unusable spaces. After studying numerous space plans and roofline modifications, we were able to create quality interior and exterior spaces that reflected our client’s needs and design sensibilities. The resulting master suite, living space, roof deck(s) and re-invented kitchen are great examples of a successful collaboration between homeowner and design and build teams.

Modifications to this 1930s craftsman duplex in New Orleans include opening and connecting the owner’s side of the house to the back garden. Custom designed doors and addition of a back porch provide flexibility of openness between the interior and exterior spaces.

A substantial conservatory, kitchen addition, porte cochere and other modifications were added to this well know heritage home in picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake. Particular care was taken to replicate the fine detailing of the existing home.

A tub to accessible shower conversion utilizing Universal Design. Includes shampoo niches (2), folding seat, hand held shower and fixed shower head. Frameless panel with no door. Low walk in threshold. Toilet area was made safer using grab bars.

The new vanity has a higher kick area to increase use for seated users. The modern European cabinets are made of stained maple wood. All drawers are ball bearing full extension. The cabinet top matches the shower floor and has an accessible lever faucet. DT

Task: Create a Closet out of a room - Accomplished white Closets around including drywall modifications, added a center island in Medium Tone Wood-grain with lots of drawers and a unique mirror setup.

Carpet flooring has been installed inside of the office. Other modifications installed are the shelves and desk to place office equipment, and the individual sheets of steel on the sides of the office to divide up the room. This modified container is large enough to comfortably fit three office desks with multiple chairs.
