When planning this custom residence, the owners had a clear vision – to create an inviting home for their family, with plenty of opportunities to entertain, play, and relax and unwind. They asked for an interior that was approachable and rugged, with an aesthetic that would stand the test of time. Amy Carman Design was tasked with designing all of the millwork, custom cabinetry and interior architecture throughout, including a private theater, lower level bar, game room and a sport court. A materials palette of reclaimed barn wood, gray-washed oak, natural stone, black windows, handmade and vintage-inspired tile, and a mix of white and stained woodwork help set the stage for the furnishings. This down-to-earth vibe carries through to every piece of furniture, artwork, light fixture and textile in the home, creating an overall sense of warmth and authenticity.

This West Austin couple was halfway through a re-design on their home when their dream house popped up for sale. Without hesitation they bought it and a new project was hatched. While the new house was in better shape, it needed several improvements including a new primary bathroom. Now this contemporary spa-like retreat features a vanity with a floating cabinet with large storage drawers, basket storage and a thick marble countertop, black mirrors and hardware. Accent tile runs from the floor up the shower wall. Set in a herringbone pattern, the tile adds color, texture and is the focal point of the room.

Our clients wished for a larger main bathroom with more light and storage. We expanded the footprint and used light colored marble tile, countertops and paint colors to give the room a brighter feel and added a cherry wood vanity to warm up the space. The matt black finish of the glass shower panels and the mirrors allows for top billing in this design and gives it a more modern feel.

Along with the current white kitchen trend, this kitchen fits in perfectly with its twist on the blue color palette. This kitchen is an updated version of an old idea, with traditional subway tiles and color play on the blue tones. As part of Wellborn’s Estate Series, this kitchen combines a unique twist of an old French Café and modern elements; making the aesthetic design of this kitchen guaranteed to leave you in awe. In this kitchen by Wellborn Cabinet is a blend of Full Overlay and Beaded Inset cabinetry. The upper and lower cabinetry includes full overlay Lexington doors painted in our newly launched Oyster White color with smooth close drawer guides and door hinges. The upper center and island cabinets are Hanover Beaded Inset accented with oil rubbed Bronze barrel hinges and finished in Wellborn’s newly launched Aqua paint.

The homeowners of a 1930s Tudor in East Atlanta Village envisioned a colorful renovation that blended original charm with modern updates. The creative couple, who cherish antiques and quirky collectibles, aimed to preserve the home's historic layout and architectural elements. The overall color palette and aesthetic was inspired by their grandmother's fine China collection. The renovation encompassed the kitchen, mudroom, breakfast nook, living room, bar, powder room, and primary bathroom. Copper Sky Design + Remodel placed emphasis on integrating color, patterns, and specialty details to honor the home's history while reflecting the homeowners' unique style. Key design choices included retaining the functional galley kitchen, featuring a dishrack over the sink to display the clients' depression-era glass and antique China. Floral cutouts on cabinet doors and refrigerator panels, reminiscent of the 1930s, were incorporated. A scalloped built-in cabinet in the butler’s pantry, designed to fit a niche previously housing an original piece, ties into the brass scalloped hood in the kitchen. The mudroom and butler’s pantry cabinets also feature a scallop motif. Custom mosaic floor tiles, typical of the 1930s, required meticulous planning and execution. The 2” hexagon mosaic tile pattern in the kitchen, mudroom, and butler’s pantry was digitally designed and hand-laid on site. The primary bathroom's wall tile pattern demanded precision, resulting in a symmetrical and stunning design. The primary bathroom was expanded to include a Japanese-style soaking tub and a bidet within its modest 10’ x 9’ size. The powder room, though small, is vibrant with “Dinosauria” wallpaper, Tiffany-style lighting, and a square mosaic tile floor. This thoughtful renovation preserved the Tudor's historical integrity while infusing it with the homeowners' vibrant aesthetic, creating a harmonious blend of past and present.

A room to transition from nursery to big girl bedroom, this space is the perfect balance of practicality and whimsy. Aqua colored murano glass bead wallcovering sets the stage for fresh pops of white, pink and turquoise bedding while the multi-colored rug and playful artwork pull the color palette together.

Custom Surface Solutions ( https://www.houzz.com/pro/csstile/__public) - Owner Craig Thompson. I consulted remotely (Round Rock, TX) with a DIY friend remotely (Morgan Hill, CA) on his kitchen backsplash, island toe kick, and countertop remodel project. He provided the labor and materials and I coached him remotely through the project. We collaborated on ideas and tile selections, installation methods and suggestions. A multi-colored 4" x 4" Fireclay tile was used to achieve the desired look. In addition, quartz countertops were installed to complete the kitchen. The project came out great as you can see! This ensuite bathroom for one of the bedrooms has copper ceramic tiles and complementary ceramic tiles on the floor and wall. All the bathrooms have skylights and windows which help to bring in light and natural ventilation. The vanity is clad in a natural black walnut veneer
