Subtle Kitchen Tile Designs was the purpose for this client. Client came into French Creek Designs Showroom looking for a nice accent for her kitchen, she didn’t want anything to bold just to add a little something. She fell in love with the white subway tile Cloe. Each tile was a different shade of white tying into her countertops and white cabinets. Just enough texture and variance in color to achieve her desired look. Soon to be finished with adding shelves just above her sink for easy access to necessities and beautiful accents. In addition, client chose metal trim to complete the edges of their tile design beautifully.

This master bedroom went from a necessity to a desire: Wood wall, reading corner and a a super invitingly cozy bed!!

A classic Portland foursquare, lovingly owned by an active and lively family of four, had undergone some unfortunate previous renovations that were in desperate need of updating. A cramped kitchen layout, lacking countertop work space, non-functional appliance locations (the range was floating on it’s own!), cramped kitchen nook not large enough for eat-in space and therefor left underutilized, and a general lack of storage all needed to be addressed.
To increase functional space, we enclosed a small back porch and re-built the adjacent nook, folding in the square footage to create an expansive kitchen footprint. We relocated the back door and added a back deck while creating space for a mud bench for littles to tuck away their gear! The enlarged kitchen now boasts a extensive natural light thanks to the addition of several windows.
An easy work flow was created within the new kitchen layout featuring an in-island sink with range and hood flanked by matching windows. Custom cabinet accessories make storage a breeze and provide a space for all the necessities to be right at the homeowner’s fingertips. The eat-in kitchen space allows not only for lingering family chats, but homework and craft projects to be done while dinner simmers on the stove. This kitchen truly is the heart of this home!
All of the updates were completed with the home’s original foursquare architecture in mind. with a focus on classic architectural molding styles, traditional window details, and clean-lined classic fixtures. Youthfulness and modernity are infused into the space with the contemporary handmade tile backsplash, rich and timeless green cabinets, and artistic wallpaper with a whimsical floral print and subtle European nod. The custom range in cream and brass is a stunning showstopper and a testament that even the most functional of elements in a kitchen can still be beautiful! Which one is the star of the show? How do we pick just one?!

A total remodel to the second floor of the home allowed for complete redesign of the master suite including the master bathroom. Priority number one for this new master bath was to create an environment where the client could close the door to escape and recharge. For this an oversized air tub for two and a generous steam shower were absolute necessities. By placing the tub on a bed of flat cut river stone tiles a feeling of floating on a pond is created. The windows above the tub were left unadorned to bring more of the outside in from the private acreage beyond the windows
The same tile is repeated on the shower floor. A large bench tucked into the shower allows the user to stretch out and enjoy the steam. Privacy for this young professional family was also an important feature. A separate commode room mirrors the shape of the shower and a recessed entrance to the bath creates privacy from the bedroom. Easy care porcelain tiles are used on the floor and wall behind the vanity. The same crisp white subway tile pattern is repeated in the shower. A white vanity with strong furniture lines and details provides all the storage you could want. Easy maintenance quartz counter tops repeat the white and grey marble patterned floor tiles. Beautiful framed mirrors reflect light throughout the room. Black crystal knobs adorn the cabinets and continue the black accent details. Polished chrome fittings and light fixtures with crystal accents add to the glam while the black shades and color accents provide the edge. Granite, a rich paint color from Benjamin Moore adds just the right amount of dramatic color to the walls. The subtle glimmer of glass tile and crystal details combined with the black color of the flat stone tile and the cabinet hardware meld the world of glamorous luxury and edgy style.

Located in the charming High Pines neighborhood, this project was born out of necessity and vision. The homeowners—a couple with three young daughters—had outgrown their dated home but found that the cost and compromises of buying a new property in Miami simply didn’t make sense. Instead, they chose to invest in a full-scale renovation, tailored to enhance their lifestyle, maximize space, and modernize every corner of their home.
The transformation included opening up the kitchen to create more connected living spaces, enclosing a discreet laundry room, remodeling all bedrooms and bathrooms, creating a resort-style outdoor retreat with a new pool, patio, and outdoor kitchen, and building an 800-square-foot master suite addition. The result is a cohesive, family-friendly design that balances style, comfort, and function.
Main Living Areas
At the heart of the home, the kitchen showcases custom Shaker-style cabinetry, sleek quartz countertops, and a spacious central island designed for entertaining. Pendant lights above the island add warmth and character, while linear diffusers subtly enhance airflow. Custom refrigerator panels create a cohesive, high-end aesthetic, all set atop durable wood-look porcelain tile flooring that extends throughout the living spaces.
Flowing effortlessly into the living room, the open-concept design promotes comfort and sophistication. Recessed and linear LED lighting highlight a striking tropical wood feature wall, while a wood slat divider adds architectural interest and provides subtle separation without sacrificing openness. Hidden within this feature wall is a discreet door leading to a new, efficiently designed laundry room.
Master Suite Addition
A major highlight of the renovation is the luxurious 800-square-foot master suite addition, a serene retreat offering privacy and indulgence. The master bedroom features linear LED lights, elegant pendant lighting, and a space-saving pocket door that enhances flow.
The adjoining master bathroom evokes a spa-like atmosphere, with a massive shower and built-in steam room as the centerpiece. A bold black-and-white geometric tile pattern brings striking visual contrast, complemented by globe-style light fixtures, a sleek vanity, dark wood cabinetry, and soft-toned hexagon tile flooring. A custom walk-in closet with tailored cabinetry completes the suite with a blend of organization and luxury.
Outdoor Living
The outdoor space was completely reimagined to function as an extension of the home—ideal for both relaxation and entertaining. The redesigned pool features a modern aesthetic with a party bench and sun shelf. The patio ceiling is finished in Thermo Wood Ayous for a warm, natural feel, while the gourmet outdoor kitchen boasts porcelain countertops, dark blue cabinetry with stainless steel hardware, and a high-end stainless steel grill.
Additional Spaces
Throughout the home, the existing bedrooms and bathrooms were fully renovated to meet the needs of the growing family. Custom mahogany and painted Shaker-style vanities, porcelain tile, glass shower enclosures, new doors, flooring, and upgraded closet systems bring functionality and design into every corner.
Curb Appeal
The renovation begins at the front door with a striking modern tropical wood entry, porcelain tile pathway, and a stucco clapboard façade. Rich Thermo Wood Ayous soffits add depth and warmth to the exterior, creating a welcoming and cohesive aesthetic that hints at the thoughtful transformation within.

With close proximity to the beach comes the necessity of an outdoor shower. This full bath can be found tucked away just outside the laundry and serves as a quick rinse area as well as water closet for the adjacent pool. French linen limestone in a basket pattern flanks the floor while 12x24 White Linen porcelain carries up the walls.

We took our Boulder clients through an amazing transformation! Almost every room in their home has been remodeled to better reflect their tastes and create spaces that functions better for their family. We utilized natural materials every step of the way and designed a balance of mid-century inspired touches and cool contemporary finishes. In the living room we removed the existing half-wall to open up the entry and dining room and create an easier transition between spaces. To make the fireplace the focal point of the living room we designed a beautiful wall of honed sandstone and sourced a reclaimed wood mantel. Increasing storage was a necessity for this home, so we added a much needed closet to the dining room, and designed semi custom floating cabinetry for the living room & dining room. We added a custom barn door to their family room to give them the option of closing the television off from the rest of their home. The clients really wanted to brighten up their dark kitchen, so we removed the black cabinets and red backsplash to make room for beautiful natural wood cabinets and a custom clay tile backsplash. Contemporary touches like a zero radius stainless steel sink, concrete light fixtures, and a double waterfall counter-top continue to echo the clean lines utilized through out the rest of the home. For the two first floor bathrooms we removed barrels full of mosaic tile and installed large scale white and grey tiles, making the rooms feel larger and reign in the visual texture. We continued to use the cool tones and clean lines in the bathrooms to tie them in with the rest of the home and give us a unified feel between spaces.

With such a luxurious outdoor living space, a stunning light fixture was a necessity.
