The small "old fashioned" 1920's kitchen was outdated by today's standards for the client who loved this look, but not the inconveniences that went with it. The original breakfast room and butler’s pantry (after much discussion concerning honoring the original floor plan!) was incorporated into the new space by removal of the wall that separated them from the kitchen. When we were approached us to tackle the kitchen design for this full house remodel, the homeowner had clear expectations of what she wanted her “new” kitchen to resemble. She hoped to create a late 19th century Soda Fountain Shop in her own home. Through a careful design process, we were able to create exactly the look that this discerning homeowner was looking for without giving up and modern conveniences that are found in today’s upscale kitchens. As a design firm, we were lucky that the remodeling process was extensive enough to allow us the freedom to create a space where this family of five could enjoy the comforts of classic Americana in their very own Soda Fountain Shop.

Inspiration for a timeless bedroom remodel in Orlando

Renovation is almost complete; just a bit more trim work and painting to go! This old home is in dire need of restoration, efficiency upgrades, and some good old fashion TLC. Once a glorious estate, it has been the victim of many unflattering renovations over the past 75 years. By incorporating carefully designed, strategically placed modifications like the large new front porch, we are able to enhance the existing house and bring it back from years of neglect to a state that surpasses its former glory.
