Our homeowner enjoys his guitar collection, but they were stored in a closet in their prior home. Our interior design was inspired by our desire for him to be able to look at his prized collection and have them accessible for playing at any time. The desk faces the display wall, clad in cork wallpaper with brass embedded flakes, for ongoing pleasure, and is a favorite of our client!

“The Hill Country has a strong tradition of design using its local materials and simple regional forms,” says Dallas architect Stephen Chambers. In this region of Texas, local means limestone, and the regional forms of steeply pitched metal roofs, deep porches, and wide overhangs. To create the look of a ranch house that has evolved over the years, Steve broke the house into a series of wings. * This is an ongoing project * A once empty, unwelcoming foyer, this space got a huge upgrade with a painted ceiling, new ceiling medallions and chandeliers, new custom crystal wall sconces, console table and decor.

When these homeowners planned out their home, they personally considered every detail, including building vertically to make the most use of their real estate and to take advantage of the fantastic view by incorporating a roof top deck in the design. They wanted the deck to have an attractive finish, but one that would not require ongoing maintenance to keep it looking good. Koi in one of the ponds. Johnson Creek designed and installed the overall layout of the side and backyards to include the paths, outcropping placement and water gardens. We also proposed and installed the larger evergreen specimens. The homeowners need to be commended for their choices of great plant material and ongoing maintenance. Without their care, the project would not hold the same impact that it does!

We installed wall to wall custom shelves, pinstriped board and batten with custom ledge and shelf railing, new wall paint, as well as new furniture and decor to compliment their recently restored 100 year old desk and Alphonse Mucha prints.

This coastal garden is located 4 hours north of Sydney. This garden has been an ongoing project for Secret Gardens over the last decade. The original brief was for a ‘mini botanic garden’ which proved a challenge on a site with little tree or vegetation cover and limited top soil. The plantings are 95% native, from the establishing rainforest where over 25 varieties of trees have been used to the drier areas where Callistemon, Kangaroo Paw and ornamental grasses have been used in large swathes.The result now is an established garden that will continue to evolve and provide great enjoyment for our clients.

* This is an ongoing project * This outdoor space is perfect for an evening of dining alfresco and enjoying a movie. We paired the iron frame outdoor sofa and loveseat with teak coffee table and console table. We brought the soft blues and ivory from inside the house to the outdoor living space to continue the flow and feel from the interior.
