These are a few pictures of what mottling looks like on the plaster. This plaster is only 6 months old. We have a product called Meta Max that we can add to the plaster to help REDUCE mottling. Mottling is a natural occurrence that can happen to all cementitious materials but mainly seen on white plaster or a white back ground. We were contacted by a homeowner in his mid-80s who decided it was time to retire his ladder. He was interested in a micro mesh gutter guard that would eliminate the need for ongoing maintenance.
He already had 6-inch gutters, so we simply gave his gutters a tune-up by cleaning, resealing and resetting them so they would drain properly towards the downspouts.

Overhead rear view of this cedar roof replacement on an expansive residence situated on the Connecticut River in Deep River, CT. This home is located in the middle of a grove of large Oaks and Maples; combined with the nearby river - moisture is an ongoing concern. Therefore, after stripping this roof down to the sheathing, we added two layers of Ice & Water membrane as well as a layer of CedAir-mat ventilation mat across the entire installation. For this project, we specified western red cedar perfection shingles treated with cromated copper arsenate (an antifungal preservative).

Set in a lovely traditional style with a wood-like appearance, the aluminum Hampton Hills railing comes worry free of wood rot and ongoing paint upkeep. This coastal garden is located 4 hours north of Sydney. This garden has been an ongoing project for Secret Gardens over the last decade. The original brief was for a ‘mini botanic garden’ which proved a challenge on a site with little tree or vegetation cover and limited top soil. The plantings are 95% native, from the establishing rainforest where over 25 varieties of trees have been used to the drier areas where Callistemon, Kangaroo Paw and ornamental grasses have been used in large swathes. The result now is an established garden that will continue to evolve and provide great enjoyment for our clients.

Home to the 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, the Sagamore Hill National Historic Site is undergoing a three-year, $7.2 million rehabilitation project, including upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems and lighting, as well as restoration of historic windows, doors, siding and porches to historic preservation standards.
Often referred to as the “Summer White House,” where President Roosevelt would host VIPs from the U.S. and the world during his presidency, the Queen Anne-style home has undergone a patchwork of renovation projects over the years. The current rehabilitation is aimed at avoiding ongoing smaller scale site work in the future.
For replacement of the impressive wraparound porch, the National Park Service (NPS) selected Accoya wood, a Cradle to Cradle-certified material that is durable and stable, and is guaranteed against rot and decay for 50 years in exterior use. In addition, Accoya does not shrink or swell, making it an ideal material for a variety of exterior applications. “In caring for such an important property, we needed to ensure that we used the highest quality, environmentally friendly products that were sympathetic to the environment,” said Susan Sarna, museum curator for the NPS. “In addition, given the negative impact that renovation works have on visitor experience, we wanted to use a product that would allow us to reduce ongoing maintenance at the site.”

This dining room received the full design treatment. We designed and installed the square grid board and batten wall, the wall sconces and the crystal chandelier as well as the antiqued mirror and dusty blue velvet curtains. All furniture was selected and customized through Ethan Allen.

This major remodel included updating a 1980's home to today's modern aesthetics inside and out. With today's modern styles, black and white has become increasingly popular and the tract housing color(s) of auburn, tan, and beige are severely outdated; to say the least. Therefore, we gave this home a fresh look, feel, and even added some additional outdoor functionality with the balcony. This project is still ongoing (as of February 2025) and soon we'll begin on the other backyard, front yard, and interior elements that are being designed and funded now. This design was created in-house by ICINC in collaboration with the client's selections. We have a projected completion date of 2026.
