The room is a harmonious blend of elegance and comfort. The walls are painted in a soothing, neutral tone that complements the rich, dark wood flooring. A pair of cream-colored sofas with soft, inviting cushions face each other with colorful Thibaut fabric pillows . A large, woven wool area rug in muted shades anchors the seating area. Above the mantel hangs a stunning piece of original art—a large, abstract painting with vibrant splashes of color that bring energy and life to the space. On the opposite wall, a gallery of smaller, framed artworks adds an eclectic yet curated feel. Overall, the room exudes a sense of refined comfort, where every element is thoughtfully chosen to create a space that is both visually stunning and incredibly inviting.

This stunning kitchen was completely transformed from its 1980s spec house origins. The homeowner came to visit our showroom and fell in love with the sliding backspace on display, deciding to create her new kitchen around the concept. The doors reveal storage for cooking spices and oils on hand-hewed, white-washed oak shelving and can be left open or closed at the owner's discretion. The La Cornue Chateau 150 in Tapestry Blue with unlacquered brass trim is the crowning jewel of the kitchen, framed by a custom stainless steel hood with rivet detailing. A creamy marble was selected for the backsplash, and a 2" mitered countertop for the ample island, painted in Farrow & Ball Inchyra-blue, that comfortably seats four. The perimeter cabinets are recessed panel doors with stepped framing bead, finished in decorator white and accented by burnished brass hardware The wall opposite the range hosts a display unit with the same hand-hewed, white-washed oak shelving as the sliding backsplash, and a non-functioning fireplace was covered in horizontal shiplap to now house a shallow pantry with design elements in the top panels. The dining side of the kitchen is anchored by the breakfast bar, which is fully independent of the kitchen appliances with its own sink, beverage drawers, dedicated trash, and storage, with the same marble and paint color as the island to integrate and unify the space.

Originally, the dining layout was too small for our clients needs. We reconfigured the space to allow for a larger dining table to entertain guests. Adding the layered lighting installation helped to define the longer space and bring organic flow and loose curves above the angular custom dining table. The door to the pantry is disguised by the wood paneling on the wall.

This project was a complete renovation of the back half of the home - kitchen, dining and family room. The kitchen was oddly shaped with an awkward wall breaking up the space. We turned the wall into a column, moved the sink and dishwasher to a much larger island, and created a beverage center plus a focal piece to display the clients' fun objects. We took inspiration from the clients' heritage and appreciation of Scandi design and combined it with their love of color and quirk. New stone on the fireplace, layered custom window treatments, a restored mid-century dining set, and fresh lighting with a backdrop of colorful wallpaper and their collected art made the space complete. FUN FACT : The back half of the home originally had three different ceiling heights! We were able to eliminate the unnecessary soffits to create one level plane. Here is a newly completed project I've been working on. My charge was to make functional spaces in a basement that included a bar, TV space, game space, office space and music room. The client was sharing some photos he'd taken in subways in NYC, Chicago and London, among others. These exciting images of his stimulated an idea: What if we used the subway as a motif for the entire basement project? This concept was enthusiastically endorsed. This open concept breakfast area off the kitchen is the hardest working room in the house. The show stopping sea glass chandelier sparkles as light streams in the windows overlooking the pool area. A pair of original abstract artwork in blue and white adorn the space. We mixed Sunbrella outdoor fabric chairs with leather seats that can be wiped off when the inevitable spill happens. An outdoor rug hides crumbs while standing up the wet feet tracking in from the adjacent patio and pool area.
