Inspiration for a transitional bathroom remodel in San Francisco

The owners dreamed of an Eichler remodel they would live in forever. Their vision was contemporary and open. Klopf Architecture would design, and reconfigure bathrooms/laundry areas and upgrade systems to be more efficient. This talented executive mother of five decorated and furnished the home herself. Designed for the 2013 Traditional Home Magazine Napa Valley Showhouse, this sophisticated master bedroom suite highlights a mix of antique and modern pieces for a transitional look that can withstand the test of time. A navy and green master bedroom evokes the organic elegance of Napa’s lush vineyards. For the master bath, we selected marble-topped vanities and a freestanding tub for a sense of luxurious serenity.

An eclectic blend of horizontally patterned travertine, modern Euro-style fixtures, accents and hardware with the earth colors and textures of natural cherry cabinetry, limestone tiles. This 3,200 square foot Bainbridge Island house is designed for a young family that will commonly have extended stay guests. The house was designed with the concept of a series of living pavilions. Each pavilion takes in different views of the acreage beyond. The main pavilion houses the great room and children’s bedrooms above. The west pavilion houses a discrete guest suite. The north pavilion includes the utility and family rooms on the main floor and master suite on the second. The house is located along the grade that parallels the path of the sun. This prompted the development of the design to be rather thin in the north-south dimension which, in-turn allows for the most amount of daylight to be garnered by the interior of the building as possible. The project included a detached garage which houses an office space that bridges the parking bays below. Designed by BC&J Architecture.

Located in the Avenues of the heart of Salt Lake City, this craftsman style home leaves us astounded. Upon demolition of the existing home, this custom home was built to showcase what exactly Lane Myers Construction could deliver on when we are given numerous constraints. With a floor plan designed to open up what would have been considered a confined space, attention to tiny details and the custom finishes were just the cusp of what we took the time to create

Positioned to provide access from all areas of the home, this sleek kitchen emphasizes specialty work zones, with a highly functioning triangle existing between refrigerator, prep, and cooking areas. A Thermador appliance package includes a 36” induction cooktop, steam oven, warming drawer, conventional oven, and double-door builit-in refrigerator. Installed in the island are integrated appliances such as a drawer microwave, dishwasher and a U-line wine cooling unit with dual controls. The island sink has a touchless faucet and garbage disposal system. Contrasting cabinet colors and the use of two different countertop surfaces are melded together with a vibrant coordinating tile backsplash. Hand painted outlets are hidden in plain sight in the backsplash. LED lighting in the upper and lower cabinets are accented by pendant lights over the island. Additional ceiling RAB LED lighting can be adjusted per mood and occasion. Disappearing sliding doors surround the kitchen carrying the sense of the outside throughout the interior.

Complete Gut renovation that included removal and relocating of laundry room to basement. The existing kitchen layout and size was not adequate for this home. We opened up the space removed closets, walls and added windows. we gave this kitchen the ultimate appliance package two Bosch dishwashers, Fisher & Paykel Single Drawer Multi-Temperature Refrigerator/Freezer , 36" Thermador Range top, Sharpe Built In microwave. The plumbing Finish was done in Polished Nickel to match the hardware and light fixtures. The floor was done with European Oak with All Natural Hard-Wax Oil. This beautiful wood texture is coarse and characterized by open pores. The Counter tops from Caesarstone and to bring out the color in the wood floor we used a 4" X 12 " Marble Subway tile from Walker Zanger.
