Staining this floor made all the difference! We even used copper nails to tack down the flooring which sparkle like little gems.

The loft-style camphouse bed was planned and built by Henry Kate Design Co. staff. (The one it was modeled after wasn't going to fit on the wall, so we reverse-engineered it and did it ourselves!)

This property was transformed from an 1870s YMCA summer camp into an eclectic family home, built to last for generations. Space was made for a growing family by excavating the slope beneath and raising the ceilings above. Every new detail was made to look vintage, retaining the core essence of the site, while state of the art whole house systems ensure that it functions like 21st century home. The new design expanded the footprint of the home to 1,271 square feet for the first level and 1,156 for the new second level. A new entry with a quarter turn stair leads you into the original living space. The old guest bedroom that was once accessed through the dining room is now connected to the front living space by pocket doors.
