A 42" french door subzero refrigerator was paneled and built in. It shows flush inset installation. The steam oven, wall oven are under stainless steel doors and a stainless steel drawer to break up the stained perimeter. Wood beams on the ceiling feed into support posts. Walnut floors bring together the two stain colors used in the kitchen.

This beautiful yet highly functional space was remodeled for a busy, active family. Flush ceiling beams joined two rooms, and the back wall was extended out six feet to create a new, open layout with areas for cooking, dining, and entertaining. The homeowner is a decorator with a vision for the new kitchen that leverages low-maintenance materials with modern, clean lines. Durable Quartz countertops and full-height slab backsplash sit atop white overlay cabinets around the perimeter, with angled shaker doors and matte brass hardware adding polish. There is a functional “working” island for cooking, storage, and an integrated microwave, as well as a second waterfall-edge island delineated for seating. A soft slate black was chosen for the bases of both islands to ground the center of the space and set them apart from the perimeter. The custom stainless-steel hood features “Cartier” screws detailing matte brass accents and anchors the Wolf 48” dual fuel range. A new window, framed by glass display cabinets, adds brightness along the rear wall, with dark herringbone floors creating a solid presence throughout the space.

A colonial waterfront home in Mamaroneck was renovated to add this expansive, light filled kitchen with a rustic modern vibe. Solid maple cabinetry with inset slab doors color matched to Benjamin Moore Super White. Brick backsplash with white cabinetry adds warmth to the cool tones in this kitchen. A rift sawn oak island features plank style doors and drawers is a rustic contrast to the clean white perimeter cabinetry. Perimeter countertops in Caesarstone are complimented by the White Macauba island top with mitered edge. Concrete look porcelain tiles are low maintenance and sleek. This kitchen was designed by Dawn Whyte, of Designs by Dawn, a StarMark Cabinetry dealer in Petosky, Michigan. The perimeter cabinets were created with StarMark Cabinetry's Calais door style in Maple finished in a cabinet color called White with Chocolate glaze. The island was created with StarMark Cabinetry's Calais door style in Cherry finished in a cabinet color called Toffee with Chocolate glaze.

Since the client was a high volume baker and a big cook, USI created 2 islands, 1 with a marble slab specifically to accommodate this clients baking needs, one with concrete that provides multi-functionality for a busy kitchen, while still accomplishing a farmhouse, casual, rustic feel. The perimeter encompassed a beautiful quartz that compliments both island surfaces. The result? Beautiful!

The old kitchen was outdated, cramped and had inefficient storage. It didn’t flow well with the rest of the home nor serve the needs of the family of four, who like to entertain and host the neighborhood kids on a regular basis. The client desired a large open concept kitchen with multiple zones for cooking, prep and cleanup that complimented the style of her home. She desired large pantry areas with easy access, a table area that could seat 6, as well as separate snack zone for the kids. The new kitchen design is an open concept space that combines the existing kitchen with a rarely used dining area and large walk-in closet. Distinct and separate cook, cleanup and prep zones, appeal to the cook while a separate snack area behind one of the barn doors is geared towards the children. Convenience items such as dual refrigerator drawers at one end of the island and a wine fridge at the other appeal to adults and kids alike. White perimeter cabinetry with a subtle moldings and grey glaze adds softness and sophistication, while stunning black painted islands ground the center of the space. Texture is added in the warm wood floors, gorgeous Super White Quartz countertop and variegated marble backsplash. The icing on the cake is brought in with a little glitz and shine thru the pendant lighting and chrome accents. The rays of the existing half circle window were the inspiration for the X detail which is repeated throughout the space in the glass door mullions, pantry barn doors, and tile feature area over the cooktop.
