Custom woodworking with a personalized touch. These thick, solid-wood floating shelves feature rich dark-stained finishing and custom-engraved typography along the front face profiles.
Mounted flush to the wall with hidden internal support hardware, these custom floating shelves provide strong, clean display space while serving as a unique statement piece in the home.

A kitchen and bath remodel we worked on for this clients’ newly purchased home. The previously dated interior now showcases a refreshing, bright, and spacious design! The clients wanted to stick with traditional fixtures, but bring in doses of fun with color. The kitchen walls were removed to open the space to the living and dining rooms. We added colorful cabinetry and interesting tile to reflect the fun personality of this young family.

Working in small or awkward spaces is often the most rewarding because the problem solving required calls on one’s creativity. The slanted ceiling nook in this tween bedroom is a great example of how to turn a demerit into an asset. Instead of trying to ignore it, the feature is played up here with the bold stripe treatment. The nook’s utility is maximized by using a corner desk and creating custom wood shelves affixed to the wall using plumbing piping.
Storage space remained a challenge in the room, and if we added a tall storage unit to the wall where one could fit, we would be blocking the light and views of the windows. The solution was to create a long, built-in bench with drawer storage below and two long wooden shelves, higher up the wall, for books and personal items. To bring in an industrial vibe and complement the iron bed, we distressed the wood and used plumbing pipes and fixtures for shelf support.

Living room got a huge facelift with a coat of cool blue gray paint. Now the warm wood and glossy piano take center stage, surrounding by a supportive color.

Unique design details found throughout this kitchen bridge the gaps between classic, modern, industrial, and eclectic. Rare and intricate combinations of tile, wood, steel, aluminum, and Dekton create a comfortable large kitchen with harmonious balance. Classic white cabinets with stainless steel toe kick are contrasted by the large walnut island with a taller coordinating toe. Floating in complete disguise is the 1.2 cm ultra thin countertop by Dekton rarely seen in a classic kitchen application. Walnut shelves float on the white stamped tin patterned tile and are grounded with the industrial stainless tambour appliance garage. The 3" thick floating bistro bar top by Dekton cantelivers nearly three feet with minimal visual support giving ample knee space to those who lounge at the table. The two island kitchen with an eating bar and breakfast table solved every design dilemma a large long kitchen space can have. Functional spatial design combined with unique material selections and applications makes this kitchen truly the heART of the home!

A contemporary interpretation of nostalgic farmhouse style, this Indiana home nods to its rural setting while updating tradition. A central great room, eclectic objects, and farm implements reimagined as sculpture define its modern sensibility.

Incredible antique four-seat school desk dating from the early 1900s, and salvaged from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. The unusual four-person desk features a slotted back and each seat is marked "81, 82, 83, and 84." Each seat has an arm rest that extends forward to function as a writing surface; the surface of the desks feature the typical wear and carving of antique school desks. Cast iron legs and arm rest supports complete this wonderful piece of Vanderbilt memorabilia; the desk would work wonderfully in a mud room, entry way, kids room or living room. This elongated four-seat desk is in very good condition with a nicely aged patina; it measures 84-1/4" long, 30" tall and projects 26-1/4".

Farmhouse concrete porch idea in San Francisco with a roof extension
Farmhouse concrete porch idea in San Francisco with a roof extension

This Columbia home had one deck which descended directly into their backyard. Rather than tuck their seven person hot tub on the concrete patio below their deck, we constructed a new tier.
Their new deck was built with composite decking, making it completely maintenance free. Constructed with three feet concrete piers and post bases attaching each support according to code, this new deck can easily withstand the weight of hundreds of gallons of water and a dozen or more people.
Aluminum rails line the stairs and surround the entire deck for aesthetics as well as safety. Taller aluminum supports form a privacy screen with horizontal cedar wood slats. The cedar wall also sports four clothes hooks for robes. The family now has a private place to relax and entertain in their own backyard.
