This musical family with five children had instruments many of the children could play in this room set aside as a practice room and cocktail room for guests. The Edwardian tufted leather sofa come right out of BBC's Downton Abbey, as do the red walls. There are many English influences here from the family's time living in London. The crystal and gilt iron antique glass screen was brought from London when the family moved back to the US. The Roman shades are custom made of lined raw silk.

This 1,000ft² recording and production studio, built in 2021 for producer couple Latifah Alattas and Lucas Morton, was designed as a fully custom creative environment that supports writing, mixing, and collaboration at the highest level. Both Latifah and Lucas are multi-instrumentalists, engineers, and mixers, and the studio reflects the full range of their workflows—visually inspiring, technically precise, and intuitive in every room. The facility was built from the ground up with a strong emphasis on architectural acoustics and plug-and-play connectivity. The layout includes two Control Rooms, multiple isolation booths, and shared common spaces, all tied together with seamless audio integration. No matter where you are in the studio, routing, monitoring, and communication remain effortless and consistent. Behind the aesthetic, the acoustic design is exceptionally robust. Six independent floating-floor systems support the suites, ensuring each room operates with minimal sound transmission. Tailored sound-reducing wall assemblies, full-lite doors, engineered window systems, and intentional treatment plans deliver clarity, isolation, and precision for tracking and mixing. Each space is mechanically decoupled, allowing multiple rooms to run simultaneously without compromise. For monitoring, both Latifah and Lucas chose Genelec “The Ones” series monitors with GLM calibration to ensure accurate translation and consistency across the entire facility. Natural light and a warm, welcoming aesthetic anchor the visual identity of the studio, reflecting the creative energy and personality of its owners. The result is a highly functional, beautifully crafted space where ideas can move freely and production can happen without limitations.

We’ve been excited about posting this project for years now! Especially once we realized what the name of the project would be on our website... iconic! The last of the pillows finally arrived and our photographer Parker did his thing! We LOVE just how unique this client’s taste is. It’s 1960’s Jetsons meets suble, glamorous, and worldly. The’s such a fun mix of antique and vintage pieces, new rugs and fabrics, reupholstered furniture, and deep colors. Their fearlessness around wallpaper and curtains makes us proud. It’s a project that was as fun to work on with our clients as it was to see installed. We found this pair of reupholstered 1950’s Italian Marco Zanuso chairs on chairish.com for the piano room. Other unique finds from Chairish are the 1960’s Italian coffee table between said chairs and the entry bench! We did get to reupholster that bench with some royal diamond Stroheim velvet. We got to play with more velvet Schumacher in the dining room by reupholstering their existing dining chair set. Kitschy and royal; elevating without being so serious. The vintage futuristic nod continues in the custom drapery and table runner in the dining room. The antique chrome and brass Sciolari chandelier in the dining room was discovered on 1stDibs.com! Pause for a pufferfish moment in the powder room; a nautical 60’s surprise! As we work our way back to the living room we added some simple wall sconces to the fireplace wall, we retiled the surround with lovely frosted gray glass tile, and we really enjoyed ourselves with custom pillow designs. The talcum powder soft grey hue of the massive concrete structure together with the light play of both direct, diffusive and reflected light creates motion and moving contrast. This beautiful patio was part of a home remodel that included a family room foyer and den, the purpose of add in this custom french doors with the sidelights exactly the same size as the door, was not only to give a nice open view to the back from the living room as well as allowing a lot of natural light, but this homeowners love to entertain and wanted to have the ability to open both doors or only one side depending on the occasion, we also closed a door that leaded to a bonus room and added a 75” TV with a surround sound system to be able to watch the game a movie or play some music while having a glass of wine watching the sunset, it has 4 cedar post in case homeowners entertain the possibility of adding automatic screens to keep mosquitoes and or to help with heat on those hot summer days. The 40X40 porcelain pavers add a beautiful accent on the floor and provide durability and safety since it is a non slippery surface.

This colorful room was created for a young man to have a space to study, play games, music, and entertain his friends. The LED lighting changes color and has pre-programmed patterns. The coffee table is also a refrigerator and charging station. The computer workstation is also a charging station. the stripes of the banded black shade mimic the stripe of the area rug.
