This hallway was part of a larger remodel of an attic space which included the hall, master bedroom, bathroom and nursery. Painted a brilliant white and borrowing light from the frosted, glass inset nursery and bedroom doors, this light hardwood space is lined on one side with custom, built-in storage. Making the most of the sloping eave space and pony wall, there is room for stacking, hanging and multiple drawer depths, very versatile storage. The cut-out pulls and toe-kick registers keep the floor and walkway clear of any extrusions. A new workshop and build space for a fellow creative! Seeking a space to enable this set designer to work from home, this homeowner contacted us with an idea for a new workshop. On the must list were tall ceilings, lit naturally from the north, and space for all of those pet projects which never found a home. Looking to make a statement, the building’s exterior projects a modern farmhouse and rustic vibe in a charcoal black. On the interior, walls are finished with sturdy yet beautiful plywood sheets. Now there’s plenty of room for this fun and energetic guy to get to work (or play, depending on how you look at it)!

DESIGN BY Martins Grehl Architects A 3,700 sf ground-up single-family residence located on a waterfront lot in Easton, MD, this home features beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and celebrates the gathering of family and friends through a large, open living and dining area. It was designed with natural materials meant to evolve with its inhabitants and reflect the passage of time.

Our client wanted an outdoor living space for her Border Collies and rescued cats. We used her existing patio and gave it a good power washing, fresh paint and we brought in Rough Sawn Redwood to create the fence and cat walks. We also added the trellis to support her healthy plants that would provide shade during the hotter months and bring several hummingbirds to home. PC: Aaron Gilless
