Inspiration for a modern closet remodel in Austin

When we started this project, opening up the kitchen to the surrounding space was not an option. Instead, the 10-foot ceilings gave us an opportunity to create a glamorous room with all of the amenities of an open floor plan. The beautiful sunny breakfast nook and adjacent formal dining offer plenty of seats for family and guests in this modern home. Our clients, none the less, love to sit at their new island for breakfast, keeping each other company while cooking, reading a new recipe or simply taking a well-deserved coffee break. The gorgeous custom cabinetry is a combination of horizontal grain walnut base and tall cabinets with glossy white upper cabinets that create an open feeling all the way up the walls. Caesarstone countertops and backsplash join together for a nearly seamless transition. The Subzero and Thermador appliances match the quality of the home and the cooks themselves! This space is made for entertaining.The full bar includes a microwave, sink and full full size refrigerator along with ample cabinets so you have everything you need on hand without running to the kitchen. Upholstered swivel barstools provide extra seating and an easy view of the bartender or screen. Even though it's on the lower level, lots of windows provide plenty of natural light so the space feels anything but dungeony. Wall color, tile and materials carry over the general color scheme from the upper level for a cohesive look, while darker cabinetry and reclaimed wood accents help set the space apart. An eclectic, modern media room with bold accents of black metals, natural woods, and terra cotta tile floors. We wanted to design a fresh and modern hangout spot for these clients, whether they’re hosting friends or watching the game, this entertainment room had to fit every occasion. We designed a full home bar, which looks dashing right next to the wooden accent wall and foosball table. The sitting area is full of luxe seating, with a large gray sofa and warm brown leather arm chairs. Additional seating was snuck in via black metal chairs that fit seamlessly into the built-in desk and sideboard table (behind the sofa).... In total, there is plenty of seats for a large party, which is exactly what our client needed. Lastly, we updated the french doors with a chic, modern black trim, a small detail that offered an instant pick-me-up. The black trim also looks effortless against the black accents. Photography by Patrick Ray With a footprint of just 450 square feet, this micro residence embodies minimalism and elegance through efficiency. Particular attention was paid to creating spaces that support multiple functions as well as innovative storage solutions. A mezzanine-level sleeping space looks down over the multi-use kitchen/living/dining space as well out to multiple view corridors on the site. To create a expansive feel, the lower living space utilizes a bifold door to maximize indoor-outdoor connectivity, opening to the patio, endless lap pool, and Boulder open space beyond. The home sits on a ¾ acre lot within the city limits and has over 100 trees, shrubs and grasses, providing privacy and meditation space. This compact home contains a fully-equipped kitchen, ¾ bath, office, sleeping loft and a subgrade storage area as well as detached carport.

This spacious kitchen had plenty of room for an extra large island with plenty of storage space and two high chairs. The island cabinetry in a rich cherry wood with a Nutmeg stain nicely counter balances the creamy perimeter cabinets.

The master bathroom vanity was custom made by Perola Kitchens. There is now plenty of storage and an extra large shower with a skylight.
