19th century carved walnut Louis XV style French sofa upholstered Belgian linen Beautiful antique sofa frame all hand-carved with large roses at the top centre back. The frame shows weathering and wear, the sofa is strong and sturdy, but original seams have separations that are not structural at all. We have made any necessary repairs before upholstering to make sure this sofa is structural sound. The upholstery is done in a heavy weight Belgian linen in a soft pale natural color. Finished with a double welt, the down cushion is very full and plump making this sofa comfortable to sit it. Measures: 83" x 32" D x 39" H Seat height 21", seat depth 25", arm height 27".

With this kitchen remodel we were able to highlight the Spanish Mediterranean style of the home. The tall transom pantry cabinets that almost touch the beams elevate your eyes and transform the space. In the back, the handmade mosaic backsplash although very intricate remains muted to accentuate the featured stone hood. The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances and water stone plumping fixtures. For our countertop, we have selected marble in a perfect blend of colors that coordinate with this two-toned kitchen.

Lola Montez, who some referred to as a “Wild Hawk,” was an exotic dancer and mistress to an aging king before she landed in San Francisco during the Gold Rush in the mid-1800’s. She was said to be both glamorous and boldly unconventional. We channeled Lola throughout our design for the new Wild Hawk bar for the PlumpJack Group in the Mission. We thought “What Would Lola Want?” today? A dark, sexy modern day pub – fitting to meet some of her gentleman (or lady) callers, a spot for the best cocktails in town, a place to come and hold court for the evening. The bedroom boasted elegant dark brown wood flooring, which not only added a touch of sophistication but also provided a comfortable surface for bare feet. Above, ceiling fans gently whirred, their soft breeze bringing an airy feel to the room. A comfortable double bed took center stage, adorned with cotton bed sheets that were as soft as a cloud, and a wool blanket carefully folded at the foot for those cooler nights. The bed pillows were plump and inviting, ready to provide the utmost comfort. To entertain himself, Jon had a sleek TV mounted on a white TV stand, where he could enjoy his favorite shows and movies. The TV table was adorned with a few personal items, like a cherished wall-mounted acrylic photo frame displaying fond memories. It added a personal touch to the room, evoking smiles every time he glanced at it. The bedroom's aesthetics were further enhanced by the contrast of white bed sheets against the dark brown wood flooring. The window blinds allowed just the right amount of natural light to filter in, creating a warm, ambient atmosphere. Above the bed, a wall frame caught the eye, serving as a conversation piece. It was indeed a room where Jon could escape the demands of the day and embrace the serenity of the evening. The interplay of textures, colors, and personal touches made it a space that reflected Jon's personality, providing a peaceful refuge from the outside world.

Our client had a plant that was not doing well in the corner space of her family room. We replaced it with a handsome mature jade suited to that light, which is very low maintenance

Eagerly awaiting retirement, a New England-based client acquired a property in a former office building in central Lisbon. Artfully refurbished by Frederico Valsassina Arquitectos, the façade is composed of geometric strata of medium-gray panels alternating with weathered vertical staves. Our studio’s brief was to furnish and equip the interior of the vacation home to converse with the architecture, so family and friends visiting Lisbon would stay in an elegant, private setting, filled with locally-made and designer items. Upon entering, a small shelf and mirror function as a welcome valet. The corridor opens to a cozy living room with lambent afternoon light let in by large sliding doors. Just outside, the balcony sports a café table and chairs set for an aperitivo. An enveloping sofa, produced in Portugal, and an organic recliner, create an intimate lounge area facing a classic, modular media cabinet. An artisan-made wool ottoman adds a beat of color; the lights speak in plump opaline glass and thin black metal rods. The glass top of the dining table fades into the space, leaving its sculptural, marine blue base; in a play of textures, the upholstery of the dining chairs coordinates elegantly with the smoked glass. Tile, oak, and stainless steel come together in a custom kitchen island, with additional counter space and convenient storage. As the interior is replete with oiled oak in the floors, baseboards, doors, and cabinetry, matching wood furniture warms the bedrooms. The vertical spindles of the beds recall the pattern of the exterior façade. Laptop work is accommodated by a small console desk with a chair clothed in burgundy. Acorn-shaped pendants, inviting bed linens and rugs, and undulating curtains, all in the warm white of the walls, form a nest for relaxation.
