The builder hired us to stage this property as a model because he had other units to sell. We brought in modern, yet farmhouse type furnishings to enhance the finishes and style of the home. The builder fully believed in the value of our staging and rented our furniture for 4 months.
We staged the heart of the home, kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, master bedroom, loft and all bathrooms. When we were working on the design plan, we made sure all our selections would appeal to a broad range of buyers. We consulted with the agent on who the prospective buyers would be and geared our style towards either a young family or empty nesters.
This project took us two days to install after we put our finishing touches on it. The builder anticipated a four month rental with us but our particular unit sold in ONE WEEK. We felt like we had just completed the installation! We were thrilled for our client, our realtor partners as well as the new homeowner. Definitely a textbook case of why staging works and shows the value of what we do.

This Loudonville couple started by getting a quote to finish their attic space, but then changed gears and decided the kitchen was more important at this time. Estimator Anthony and designer Justina from Bennett Contracting went to work on a new design. The home is an older colonial with classic features, and the existing kitchen was a poorly laid out 90’s nightmare. With children in the home the island cooktop alone was a constant danger. By adding a window and removing the wall from the dining room, the new kitchen is much brighter and connected to the rest of the home. Bennett removed the old vinyl tile and continued the wood flooring into the new kitchen space. Justina admits it was so much fun working on this project because the owners were open to all sorts of design features. Roll-outs in most cabinets, hidden bread boards, hutch coffee bar, brass chicken wire, and the very cool antique foot rail. Then there are the custom cabinet colors. RD Henry Cabinets matched Glidden paint colors to get the exact color the client desired. They even sent three cabinet samples to get it right. These classic features combined with the modern design brings new life to the space.

This dedicated home gym space showcases what a thoughtful basement finishing project can deliver. Craftsworth Construction installed durable black rubber sport flooring designed to handle heavy equipment, paired with clean white walls, recessed LED lighting, and a wall-mounted TV for an at-home training experience that rivals any studio. Laundry room from Studio Thomas Project No. 022, designed to make everyday tasks feel thoughtful and refined. Custom cabinetry in warm wood tones provides generous storage, paired with dark stone countertops that introduce contrast and durability. A brass faucet and pendant lighting add warmth and a subtle sense of craftsmanship.
Beneath the window, a deep sink offers a practical workspace for washing and cleaning, while natural light filters through a soft linen shade to brighten the room. Nearby, a built-in wash station with tile surround and brass fixtures adds both character and function—perfect for rinsing muddy shoes, cleaning gear, or bathing pets. Vertical wall paneling and brick tile flooring reinforce the room’s durability while maintaining the home’s cohesive palette of natural materials.
The result is a laundry space that feels organized, functional, and quietly beautiful—reflecting Studio Thomas’s belief that even the most utilitarian rooms should be designed with care.

Relocating from Australia, our clients envisioned a home that could accommodate guests and lakefront entertaining. Situated on Pine Lake in West Bloomfield and completed in July 2024, we created new spaces, reimagined old ones, and even added a new front entry façade! As part of this project, we also renovated the oversized mudroom/laundry room.
The room itself was multi-functional, but underutilized. We reallocated some of this unused space for an adjacent guest bedroom. Within the mud room, we maintained and repurposed the old wood-burning stove. Its bricks were carefully restored and lime-washed, and custom cabinetry was built around the hundred-year-old chimney to create a seamless update.
We added a deep functional sink and drop zone, accessible just inside the main foyer entrance. With new front-loaded washer and dryers, the large and expansive quartzite countertop allows for easy folding and drying of clothes, as well as dropping off hunting and fishing gear from a day spent outdoors.

I designed and assisted the homeowners with the materials, and finish choices for this project while working at Corvallis Custom Kitchens and Baths.
Our client (and my former professor at OSU) wanted to have her basement finished. CCKB had competed a basement guest suite a few years prior and now it was time to finish the remaining space.
She wanted an organized area with lots of storage for her fabrics and sewing supplies, as well as a large area to set up a table for cutting fabric and laying out patterns. The basement also needed to house all of their camping and seasonal gear, as well as a workshop area for her husband.
The basement needed to have flooring that was not going to be damaged during the winters when the basement can become moist from rainfall. Out clients chose to have the cement floor painted with an epoxy material that would be easy to clean and impervious to water.
An update to the laundry area included replacing the window and re-routing the piping. Additional shelving was added for more storage.
Finally a walk-in closet was created to house our homeowners incredible vintage clothing collection away from any moisture.
LED lighting was installed in the ceiling and used for the scones. Our drywall team did an amazing job boxing in and finishing the ceiling which had numerous obstacles hanging from it and kept the ceiling to a height that was comfortable for all who come into the basement.
Our client is thrilled with the final project and has been enjoying her new sewing area.

Transitional design bridges the gap between this Tudor home and the contemporary esthetic these homeowners love. White frameless full-overlay cabinetry is uncluttered, and the wide-framed doors with subtle beveled inner profiles are a fresh take on classic Shaker. White quartz countertops with understated veining and waterfall ends are the perfect low-maintenance choice for this busy young family. As a counterpoint to all the white, a warm wood-look backsplash tile was chosen. Bucking the common practice of using the same door style everywhere, the cabinets flanking the vent hood have triple panels. This gives the narrow doors much more pleasing proportions. Matte black hardware, faucet and funnel-shaped gold lined island pendants echo the black mullions.
The breakfast area epitomizes the juxtaposition of Tudor and modern. Against a backdrop of diamond leaded windows and transoms in the adjacent room is a mid-century tulip table and perforated bucket chairs. A bubble starburst chandelier and colorful abstract artwork complete the look.
Separated from the kitchen by a pocket door is a handy mud room. A drawer seat with a graphic cushion and a wall cabinet above supply much-needed sports gear and outerwear storage. The beadboard back panel for coat hooks is a charming addition.
This project was designed in collaboration with Emily Shron Interiors.

This is an organic Lime Wash done with a true lime wash product as opposed to a brick mortar or concrete that is often seen on new houses. This product can be applied as a solid coating making the surface completely white, or can be applied and "washed off" in many artistic ways, as seen here. If you hate your brick or just want something unique this is a great option!

We recently had the pleasure of working with a wonderful couple who came to us after a very rough start with another contractor. Our Project Manager, Anthony Mulligan, and Designer, Justina Auer, collaborated to create a beautiful and functional space that far exceeded the couple’s expectations.
In the kitchen, we utilized double stacked wall cabinets to make the already high 10’ ceilings appear even larger. A stunning wood hood was used as the focal point of this kitchen and only further complimented by the two-tone color palette of cream and dark chocolate brown. This mocha mix-up created a warm and inviting space. Our gastronomist homeowners were in love with the multitude of new storage options for all their kitchen gadgets including a spice drawer and rollouts.
Over in the family room, we added additional seating at the peninsula to allow for a more comfortable gathering space. The refinished hardwood floors tied the spaces together creating a seamless flow all the way into the mudroom. We added more storage for the kids’ seasonal gear as well as items brought
home from school. With our expansive knowledge and expertise, we were able to unlock a new level of comfort for this family. Reach out to get your renovation started today!
