This dinning set has been in the family since late 1800 and was brought from Spain by the customer's grandparents. It was very important to bring back its glamour. We started by upholstering the chairs with a silk compose that added lots of character to them. We created a focal point by adding a stunning circle wall paper and complemented it with sheer ice color window treatment that contributed to create a serene mood to promotes relaxation and enjoyment.

Winner of the 2018 Tour of Homes Best Remodel, this whole house re-design of a 1963 Bennet & Johnson mid-century raised ranch home is a beautiful example of the magic we can weave through the application of more sustainable modern design principles to existing spaces. We worked closely with our client on extensive updates to create a modernized MCM gem. Extensive alterations include: - a completely redesigned floor plan to promote a more intuitive flow throughout - vaulted the ceilings over the great room to create an amazing entrance and feeling of inspired openness - redesigned entry and driveway to be more inviting and welcoming as well as to experientially set the mid-century modern stage - the removal of a visually disruptive load bearing central wall and chimney system that formerly partitioned the homes’ entry, dining, kitchen and living rooms from each other - added clerestory windows above the new kitchen to accentuate the new vaulted ceiling line and create a greater visual continuation of indoor to outdoor space - drastically increased the access to natural light by increasing window sizes and opening up the floor plan - placed natural wood elements throughout to provide a calming palette and cohesive Pacific Northwest feel - incorporated Universal Design principles to make the home Aging In Place ready with wide hallways and accessible spaces, including single-floor living if needed - moved and completely redesigned the stairway to work for the home’s occupants and be a part of the cohesive design aesthetic - mixed custom tile layouts with more traditional tiling to create fun and playful visual experiences - custom designed and sourced MCM specific elements such as the entry screen, cabinetry and lighting - development of the downstairs for potential future use by an assisted living caretaker - energy efficiency upgrades seamlessly woven in with much improved insulation, ductless mini splits and solar gain

The long layout of this room called for a second seating area–one that enjoys the fireplace, and promotes conversation. The modern gray leather club chairs are centered around a round, Century Furniture mother of pearl table. The floor lamp has an exaggerated arch that allows the light to be centered over the arrangement, while not taking away from the view, or the lines of the room.

From the initial sketch to the planted masterpiece – this plentiful and copious yet water conscience garden makes a bold statement in the neighborhood. The layers of planting of different heights and textures create a strong visual presence and set the mood of excitement as you wind your way to the entry. The combination of tropical plants and succulents continue to promote the multi- layered visual experience .

Our Pasadena studio transformed this 1908 carriage house for our clients, a husband-and-wife team who own a leading Family Law practice in Pasadena. We created an inspiring workspace that doubles as a craft area, promising to boost energy and promote relaxation. We started with Thibaut's eye-catching Dynasty collection wallcovering, which served as an inspiration for the space and satisfied the client's love of mood-boosting color. We also carved out a dedicated jewelry-making area, which serves as a relaxing break from day-to-day pressures. Slot overflow is minimized at 3/8" wide to create the visual appearance of the water plane being connected and dead level with the patio finish plane. The pool walls are cut straight vertical from the pool edge, promoting a much cleaner line and more dramatic effect than more typical slot overflow edges where the entire top of the pool wall is visible.
