This is a sleek, tailored Perimeter Overflow Spa with Glass Tile that spills into a gorgeous Fort Worth swimming pool complete with a Fire Bar and Spill Edges. The 3 Sheer Descents were used to give a clean look to go with the other lines of the pool. It gives a real flat, crisp look from an architectural standpoint. We bumped up the height in the center of the main focal point from the house to give a more visual effect with the spa. The height from the backside is 30" which is the height of a table so you can put some chairs out there, roast some marsh mellows on the fire bar and enjoy. The Fire Bar is set up with the remote for easy on/off and a dramatic look at night especially with the LED lights. The Perimeter Overflow spa is very reflective during the day. It also stays wet all the time so if you sit on it, you'll get wet. This creates a clean mirror effect in the early morning and at dusk. It comfortably sits 6-8 people. Mike used 4 LED lights in the spa channel to help light it up and add to the dramatic effect at night. There is a large Tanning Ledge that can fit a lounge chair and also contains a LED gusher that looks great at night. Project designed by Mike Farley - FarleyPoolDesigns.com

We designed this custom iron planters. They drain out the backside. Perfect accent! But also planned ahead during the construction phase to raise the cement up to create a curb.

The original cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and moldings got tossed. We modified the oven cabinet to fit the new ovens, added a deeper and shorter refrigerator cabinet, and eliminated the old-school recessed sink front. New moldings were added and then the original cabinet boxes were painted in place. New hard, durable, factory-painted doors, and drawer fronts were installed. On the island, we added a couple of drawers, refaced in a complementary stained wood, and added posts to the backside for a touch of elegance. The old, non-functional, fluorescent under-cabinet lights were swapped-out for new LED tape-style versions. The existing tile floor was in great shape, so we just made sure it was protected during the project. It is amazing how the countertops, floor, backsplash, and wallpaper all got re-invigorated by association when we upgraded the look of the cabinetry. Photo's by Warren Smith, CMKBD

This beautiful kitchen has so many amazing features to fully accommodate our clients overall needs. We have designed an extremely large island for entertaining which also functions for additional backside storage. To keep the space clean and clutter free, to remain as contemporary as possible, we have provided a pantry that also functions as an appliance garage. There is a large spice cabinet beside the range to allow for easy access while cooking along with a lot of counter space for prepping and cooking meals. Photographer: Janis Nicolay

One of our favorite design features in this kitchen are the custom accent cabinets designed on either side of the range as well as on the backside of the island. All other cabinets remain in a flat panel profile, in a dark wood stain finish for the lighter painted accent cabinets to stand out. We have also designed the counter tops to be a thicker profile and to return as the back splash, raised to the ceiling, to help give this open penthouse kitchen a luxurious feel.
