Elizabeth Strianese Interiors and Meredith Heuer photography. We opted for a classic inspired bathroom with literally "splashes" of fun for these little girls. The triple laundry sink serves the 3 children nicely with it's deep basin and built in soap holders. Simplicity was key when selecting a class marble hex floor tile and white subway tile for the bulk of the room - but then we had a little fun with the colorful glass mosaic tile in the tub niche. Handblown locally made light fixtures from Dan Spitzer over the sink keep my signature of "local and handmade" alive.

This project represents the evolution of a 10 acre space over more than three decades. It began with the pool and space around it. As the vegetable garden grew, the orchard was established and the display gardens blossomed. The prairie was restored and a kitchen was added to complete the space. A charming 1920s colonial had a dated dark kitchen that was not in keeping with the historic charm of the home. The owners, who adored British design, wanted a kitchen that was spacious and storage friendly, with the feel of a classic English kitchen. Designer Sarah Robertson of Studio Dearborn helped her client, while architect Greg Lewis redesigned the home to accommodate a larger kitchen, new primary bath, mudroom, and butlers pantry. This spacious kitchen in Westchester County is flooded with light from huge windows on 3 sides of the kitchen plus two skylights in the vaulted ceiling. The dated kitchen was gutted and reconfigured to accommodate this large kitchen with crisp white cabinets and walls. Ship lap paneling on both walls and ceiling lends a casual-modern charm while stainless steel toe kicks, walnut accents and Pietra Cardosa limestone bring both cool and warm tones to this clean aesthetic. The hidden murphy bed is located in the living room, turning a one bedroom loft into a two bedroom. The secret space has it's own identity with an upholstered gray headboard, a charcoal interior, decorative pillows and original art.
