I organized laundry supplies in a way that is visually appealing. I used baskets and tubs with labels. I put liquids on the pull out shelf at the bottom so that it could be out of sight but still easily reachable. I coordinated soft, neutral colors to give a calming vibe that will assist in making an overwhelming chore not so overwhelming. Every supply is easily identifiable and within easy reach. This project was created for a limited laundry space located next the the washer and dryer in a tiny hall area.

We started this journey with Schumacher Birds and Butterflies paper but for her budget we went with an alternative. We found something very similar and less busy for a more reachable price point.

This kids closet designed by Tailored Living of Northern Virginia allows for adjustability over time as your child grows. Items can be reachable by little hand by lowering the hanging bar. As your child grows the hanging bar can be adjusted to fit longer clothing and shelving moved as well. Drawers can hold smaller items and a pull-out hamper is convenient for kids to put their dirty items. Pretty chrome hooks and a valet rod can be used to display her favorite pretty dresses, hats, and purses.

This old historic building in Belmont, MA was converted into beautiful luxury condos. While the high 10.5 foot ceilings are a great feature of the space, they also created a design challenge in the kitchen. We wanted to somehow fill the space between the reachable upper cabinets and the high ceiling avoiding an awkward "open" look in this area. The homeowners wanted stacked cabinets, but rather than just doing typical glass doors, we installed cabinets with medallion mullion doors with antiqued mirror inserts. This not only gives the kitchen a classy look, but also creates some storage for those "once a year" items you can never find a place for. In lieu of upper cabinets, a large window spanning the width of the sink counter bathes the kitchen with natural light. The 42" high dish cabinet provides more reachable storage space than traditional kitchen upper cabinets.

The custom vanity stretches the width of the washroom. Painted in a taupe lacquer with the subtle box detail adds visual interest while maintaining the simplicity of this washroom. Continuing the tile up the wall behind the vanity adds warmth and texture. The shelving in the centre is a perfect place for towel, easily reachable when exiting the shower. The quartz counter provides a strong horizontal line accentuating the length of this washroom and complimenting and tiles and vanity.

This old tiny kitchen now boasts big space, ideal for a small family or a bigger gathering. It's main feature is the customized black metal frame that hangs from the ceiling providing support for two natural maple butcher block shevles, but also divides the two rooms. A downdraft vent compliments the functionality and aesthetic of this installation. The kitchen counters encroach into the dining room, providing more under counter storage. The concept of a proportionately larger peninsula allows more working and entertaining surface. The weightiness of the counters was balanced by the wall of tall cabinets. These cabinets provide most of the kitchen storage and boast an appliance garage, deep pantry and a clever lemans system for the corner storage.
