This is a fifty year old house in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. We installed new hardwood floors, inset kitchen cabinets, stainless steel appliances and 9x12 glass tile. The glass tiles are Wolfgang White from Artistic Tile. I'm disappointed in these tiles because they have a noticeable green tint to them. The sample tile 'Artistic Tile' provided me does not have a green tint. I do not recommend this product because of the green tint.

The homeowner came to us as she began her Raleigh remodel. We recommended this classic and stunning Whitehaus bridge faucet which beautifully compliments the earthiness of the other materials. The homeowner preferred the pure brass construction because it's built to last. Kitchen & Bath Galleries designed the floor plan and provided the appliances. This is a kitchen you never want to leave.

Here's what our clients had to share about this project (from our Houzz review page):
Fairfax Kitchen and Bath provide a quality, professional product at a competitive price. The design, planning and execution phases were seamless, required minimal effort from the client, and were completed promptly and efficiently. Although they bumped into several unforeseen snags during construction, they stayed within their estimate. In addition, they are very pleasant people to work with. We are happy with the process and the result, and indeed, have just asked them to quote on our master bathroom. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Hamptons-Inspired Kitchen
One cannot help but feel a distinct sense of serenity and timeless beauty when entering this Hamptons-style kitchen. Bathed in natural light and shimmering with inspired accents and details, this complete kitchen transformation is at once elegant and inviting. Plans and elevations were conceived to create balance and function without sacrificing harmony and visual intrigue.
A metal custom hood, with an eye-catching brass band and impeccably balanced cabinets on either side, provides a strong focal point for the kitchen, which can be viewed from the adjacent living room. Brass faucets, hardware and light fixtures complement and draw further attention to this anchoring element. A wall of glass cabinetry enhances the existing windows and pleasantly expands the sense of openness in the space.
Taj Mahal quartzite blends gracefully with the cabinet finishes. Cream-tone, herringbone tiles are custom-cut into different patterns to create a sense of visual movement as the eyes move across the room. An elegant, marble-top island paired with sumptuous, leather-covered stools, not only offers extra counterspace, but also an ideal gathering place for loved ones to enjoy.
This unforgettable kitchen gem shines even brighter with the addition of glass cabinets, designed to display the client’s collection of Portmeirion china. Careful consideration was given to the selection of stone for the countertops, as well as the color of paint for the cabinets, to highlight this inspiring collection.
Breakfast room
A thoughtfully blended mix of furniture styles introduces a splash of European charm to this Hamptons-style kitchen, with French, cane-back chairs providing a sense of airy elegance and delight.
A performance velvet adorns the banquette, which is piled high with lush cushions for optimal comfort while lounging in the room. Another layer of texture is achieved with a wool area rug that defines and accentuates this gorgeous breakfast nook with sprawling views of the outdoors.
Finishing features include drapery fabric and Brunschwig and Fils Bird and Thistle paper, whose natural, botanic pattern combines with the beautiful vistas of the backyard to inspire a sense of being in a botanical, outdoor wonderland.

"The home remodeling process, from concept to a finished product, can be a long and stressful time for many couples. An endless number of questions always come to mind and timely decisions must be made if a successful project is desired. This is why we picked Taylor Pro Design and the reason we are so happy with the finished product! Kerry clearly explained what could and couldn’t be done from a design standpoint and the cost implications of the various options we were considering. In terms of the end product we couldn’t be happier. The attention to detail by his contractors is superb and Kerry’s willingness to make sure we were completely satisfied with everything is genuine and trustworthy. We would recommend Kerry Pro Design to anyone."

The Bennett's accepted Kittie's recommendation and chose a door style and finish that exuded warmth and unified the space. Waypoint Living Space’s 410 Maple Mocha Glaze was perfect. Floor to ceiling cabinetry and creamy granite composite counters in the kitchen made a beautiful statement. An island on wheels, crafted from the same style and finish as the cabinets, seats four for a casual meal or can be pulled out of the kitchen to serve guests. Glass inserts in cabinet doors on both sides of the cabinetry above the counter allowed light to stream into a now vibrant kitchen.

Dado designed this 4,000 SF condo from top to bottom. A full-scale buildout was required, with custom fittings throughout. The brief called for design solutions that catered to both the client’s desire for comfort and easy functionality, along with a modern aesthetic that could support their bold and colorful art collection.
The name of the game - calm modernism. Neutral colors and natural materials were used throughout.
"After a couple of failed attempts with other design firms we were fortunate to find Megan Moore. We were looking for a modern, somewhat minimalist design for our newly built condo in Cherry Creek North. We especially liked Megan’s approach to design: specifically to look at the entire space and consider its flow from every perspective. Megan is a gifted designer who understands the needs of her clients. She spent considerable time talking to us to fully understand what we wanted. Our work together felt like a collaboration and partnership. We always felt engaged and informed. We also appreciated the transparency with product selection and pricing.
Megan brought together a talented team of artisans and skilled craftsmen to complete the design vision. From wall coverings to custom furniture pieces we were always impressed with the quality of the workmanship. And, we were never surprised about costs or timing.
We’ve gone back to Megan several times since our first project together. Our condo is now a Zen-like place of calm and beauty that we enjoy every day. We highly recommend Megan as a designer."

Habitus Cork Mosaic "Penny" Tile Color Mix of Natural Cork, Pickling White and Blu. Introduced in 2014 by The Habitus Collection
Habitus Cork Mosaic “Penny” Tiles are the forward-looking green finish material! And like all cork products; Cork Mosaic Tile is a renewable resource. It is literally recycled from the wine stopper industry from Spain and Portugal. Chips are selected and fashioned by hand on sheets and installed to walls and floors, including wet areas, using thin-set mortar and tile grout. Similar procedures as for any typical ceramic or other mosaic tile. It can also be stained colors and finished in many ways using products we supply or recommend.

When installing recessed lights, it is important to choose products of reliable quality and higher safety standards. Select the appropriate power and brightness according to actual needs to avoid the light being too bright or too dim, which may affect vision.

The focal point of the kitchen is the blue subway tiles on the range wall. Having only one wall of backsplash allowed for a bit more fun with tile without any worry of getting too much color or becoming too busy. The shiplap on the window wall adds a nice texture and detail to the space. Shutters painted in the wall color rather stand out against the white trim.

The homeowner was looking for a new color on the front porch, rear stairs, and stucco throughout the exterior. The white paint was peeling and old. We scraped, patched and filled all imperfections. The new light green color really brought out detail in the home. A beautiful classic new look using Sherwin-Williams Duration paint. We only used the best products available.

"We had our stucco and porch painted by Protech. They did an excellent job and cleaned up everything when the job was completed. I would highly recommend them for all of your painting needs."

Very poor-quality fabrics
Beautiful design, but very disappointing product quality and customer service
I purchased Mika outdoor sectional sofas in 2022 (Order #1599844). By 2024, despite meticulous care (stored indoors every winter), the seating already shows 5 tears.
The fabric is of questionable quality—worse than that of some low-end outdoor furniture. A tiny hole quickly grows and becomes impossible to control…
I reported the issue to customer service, but no solution was offered. It’s even impossible to purchase matching fabric to reupholster the seats.
I recommend avoiding this product, or at the very least—if you're willing to take the risk—covering it with protective covers after each use, as the fabric is extremely fragile.
