This 20 x 36 feet outdoor space seamlessly becomes an extension of the house with Infinity Canopy. The exterior wall of the home and a custom built free standing frame 36 feet away provides the support for the canopy which consists of two sections/rows of 10' wide by 36' long canopy featuring Phifertex Plus in Metallica White. In order to reduce the weight of the canopy by 25% each panel is 4' long (10' x 4') instead of standard 2'. The longer panels also make the canopy cleaner and uncluttered by having 18 panels instead of 36 panels total. The frame was designed by a structural engineer in order to sustain the canopy's weight and wind loads. It is constructed with stainless steel using two 5x5 posts and a 6x6 cross beam welded together on site. The posts have square footings placed 3' into the ground and reinforced with concrete. Infinity Canopy provides this outdoor living area with ample shade that can be retracted to reveal the night sky without any obstruction thanks to the frame's minimal and clean design.

Cacti and pergolas and blue bunnies, oh my! This whimsical space is dominated by a cedar timber pergola painted in a color that evokes sunsets in the Southwest. Blue leaved cacti and agave abound throughout the space. Mass plantings of frog fruit, wooly stemodia, orange zexmenia, and gulf muhly grasses soften the heavy use of crushed granite, stepping stones, and stone retaining walls. Specimen night-blooming cereus, green sotol, and century plants are combined with upcycled natural stone pavers, moss rock boulders, river rock, and crushed granite. The blue bunnies are a crowd favorite that move quickly if you aren’t paying attention.

We transform this space into a serene oasis with our custom window treatment designed to combat intense heat and create a calming atmosphere. By combining light filtering roller shades with blackout roman shades on the front, we provided for the perfect balance of natural light and privacy control. The light filtering roller shades gently diffuse sunlight, allowing a soft, warm glow to fill the room while reducing glare and UV exposure. This feature helps to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature by blocking out excess heat, without compromising on the beauty of natural light. On the exterior, the blackout roman shades in a serene white hue offer maximum light blockage, ensuring complete darkness for a restful night's sleep or a cozy afternoon nap. These shades not only enhance the privacy but also provide excellent insulation, keeping the space cool and comfortable during hot summer days. With our calming white color scheme, you can create a tranquil and inviting ambiance that promotes relaxation and rejuvenation. Let our window treatment project be the perfect solution to enhance your living space while providing relief from the harsh effects of intense heat.

A Seattle couple needed to take advantage of our amazing summer weather and asked for a way to watch movies outside. We were up to the challenge, designing a custom concrete bench that by day serves as built-in seating and transforms at night into a perfect spot to catch a flick on the fly! Other touches include modern planting and steel planters to match the contemporary feel of the home. Photos by Miranda Estes Photography
