This is an example of a small modern full sun rooftop landscaping in Tokyo for fall.

This larger home, constructed on Martha’s Vineyard, is a collection of informal, dormered gable components and grounding one-story, shed-roof elements that reduce its overall scale.
Designed to take advantage of a gently sloping up-Island property, this 5500 sq. ft. (not including finished basement) six-bedroom home includes staggered floor levels that climb from the front of the site to the rear. Generous, open living space on the entry level -- anchored on the west end by a fireplace and on the east end by the kitchen -- borders a dining area that’s nestled under a roof which also shelters the adjacent wrap-around porch. A deck off the rear of the dining space extends around the kitchen and is easily accessible from the nearby family room, too. Bedrooms occupy the other above-grade levels, including, at the upper-most level, the master suite comprised of a study, roof deck, master bath, walk-in closets and the master bedroom.
A clean-lined interior of warm neutrals sets a soothing tone in which the Island landscape is welcomed through expansive windows, porches and decks. Clad in white cedar shingles with a red cedar roof, the West Tisbury House will softly weather in-tune with its meadow site.
Katie Hutchison Studio collaborated with Geoffrey Koper Architect of Yarmouth Port, Mass. on the West Tisbury House. Kitchen fit-out and interior finishes, fixtures, and furnishings by others.

This super transformative kitchen has become one of our favorites when it comes to how much it changed! Plus, not only does It have all the qualities of what’s on trend, but also has qualities of what’s going to last long-term. We love the brightness of the white cabinets on the perimeter paired with the warmer grey cabinets on the island. If you compare it with the original, it’s essentially night and day! Curious to learn more? Keep reading!
Cabinets
The biggest change to the space is the cabinetry. For the perimeter, we painted it white while painting the island a dark grey. In addition, the bar-height walls surrounding the island was reduced to a counter-height which helped open up the kitchen even more.
Countertops
Introducing even more warmth to the space, we spec’ed a 3 cm Caesarstone Quartz in London Grey. This is a great option if you’re looking for a material that has a marble look but want something a little more durable and low maintenance.
Backsplash
For backsplash we selected a 3×6 Arizona Tile H-Line series, in Pumice installed in a brick lay as field tile. As an insert in the main backsplash, we installed a Soci Oxford Blend in a Valencia Pattern.
remodel your kitchen island
Fixtures and Finishes
From Blanco, we have a Silgranit 1 & ¾ sink in the color Truffle. From Newport Brass, we have a Jacobean pulldown faucet in Satin Gold and a Jacobean cold water dispenser also in Satin Gold. From Mountain Plumbing, we have an air disposal switch in satin gold. As for hardware, we installed Top Knobs pulls on doors and drawer fronts in their gold finish.

Condo Window Solutions using Combi and Rollers
There are blinds that best fit for condo windows. Usually, its designed with a large or floor-ceiling windows. Here’s the top 4:
SOLAR SHADES
For spectacular views, solar shades are your best solution. Sunscreen / Solar shades are great options for applications where the need for outside view and UV protection is required at the same time. As condos are notorious for building up solar heat, this is a major way to save energy with window coverings.
ROLLER BLINDS
While solar shades are great if you don’t have high light-control needs, roller blinds excel at giving you that adjustment precision. With roller blinds, you get the full spectrum of options from complete openness to complete darkness. They also help you reduce solar heat in the condo if you get the ones with highly reflective backings.
Combi or Zebra Shades
Zebra shades move up and down and are adjustable in terms of privacy preference. If you want more privacy you can retract the blind to prevent any light from coming in and block your ability to see outside, or you can expand the shade so you can see out completely.
Motorized Blinds
Motorized roller blinds are perfect because they offer convenience and give off a modern, high-tech vibe. There are also blackout options available for those who work night shifts or simply like to sleep in.

Example of a small classic 3/4 white tile and stone tile mosaic tile floor alcove shower design in Chicago with an undermount sink, recessed-panel cabinets, black cabinets, quartzite countertops, a two-piece toilet and gray walls

The kitchen was originally planned to mimic the location of appliances in her current kitchen to minimize re-learning of appliance locations. The only change was adding a trash cabinet between the fridge and the sink. A french door fridge allows someone in a wheelchair to easily access frozen and cold foods, while the water and ice dispenser on the outside of the door make it easy to stay hydrated rather than using the sink each time. She can roll up to the kitchen sink with recessed cabinetry or stand at counter height to put away dishes from the dishwasher. The dishwasher is ADA and very simple to use , and is raised off the floor so whether she is sitting or standing it's easier to reach. The gas cooktop has controls at the front making it easy to reach from the wheelchair and the exhaust fan above also has a control at the front. All cabinet door handles are D-shape, which makes them easy to grasp and there is plenty of electrical outlets for charging phones, computers and small appliances. The kitchen island is table height at 30" so meal prep can be easily done in a wheelchair while guests and can be seated in a chair or wheelchair around the island. The dining chairs can also be turned around to add extra seating in the living room area. Pendant lights above the kitchen island light up the space, while recessed lighting in the kitchen and living room provide overall room lighting. There is also under cabinet lighting which makes the room glow at night! Wainscoting made of commercial grade material is strategically placed on sharp corners and exposed walls to reduce and minimize damage from the wheel chair, while creating a finished and complete look! We selected a free standing microwave to sit below the island, which is easy to use and is the same style as in her previous apartment. The island is 48" from the appliance wall, leaving ample space to open doors and maneuver around in the wheelchair and has easy access to the laundry area as well. We eliminated the pocket doors that had been in front of the laundry area for easy access, and since it was exposed, dressed it up with coordinating tile to the kitchen with additional cabinets above. There is a coordinating quartz counter on top of the washer and dryer for folding laundry or storing additional supplies.

Open-concept and filled with sunshine, a culinary hub that’s designed to be the social heart of this home and a subtle reference to the engaged, family-first lifestyle that would have been found in the original, heritage farmhouse located on this property.
8x5-foot* island (with seating for 4-5 people) includes storage on each side plus convenient USB outlets to keep everyone’s electronics powered up and ready to go. Easy flow when entertaining is appreciated by family/guests alike who want to engage with chefs-at-work without intruding into their workspace.
Pendant lighting above island is purposefully absent. View-lines to adjacent great-room remains unobstructed, thus fulfilling clients desire to provide the entire family (from teen to grandparents) with welcoming space to simply hang out together.
Gas cooktop (with elegantly-curved, chimney hood-fan) and two, full-sized wall-ovens (regular and microwave/convection) conveniently located adjacent to each other on the back wall where it’s easy to transfer steaming dishes directly onto the island ready for your guests/family to help themselves.
Subway-tile (3x6-inch) quartz backsplash creates visual continuity with the solid-slab island surface and perimeter countertops.
Custom millwork (in contemporary white with brushed chrome handles) designed with full-height cabinets with upper shelves back-lit for warm night-time visual. Extra bonus storage and reduced dusting: always a winning combo.
Easy-access spice kitchen includes all the features today’s savvy buyers expect from their cooking space: full-sized range with induction* cooktop, fridge, dishwasher, and 36-inch* sink that’s deep enough to effortlessly handle the biggest spaghetti/corn pots. A caterer’s dream too.
Large format (3x3-foot) marble-inspired porcelain floor-tiling is extension of material used throughout main floor. Elegant, contemporary, dramatic. Warm on the feet, thanks to energy-efficient, in-floor radiant heating.

Originally, the exterior of the Napa ranch residence was a standard knocked down stucco finish. We covered over the entire exterior of the house with a natural plaster product that has been made in Italy for centuries, known as Rialto or Vero. This product is a combination of slaked lime mixed with 60% reconstituted crushed marble dust. Quarried from the legendary Carrara marble mines. The finish itself is a vertically combed striated texture embedded into the plaster. While it cures, a transparent group of patinas are applied to the stone-like plaster substance to create a look of an aged villa.
