Our clients loved their neighborhood and being able to walk to work. While they knew it was their forever home, they needed more space. Their goals were to completely update the interior while keeping the original charm. They also wanted to add an addition for more space for their growing family.
On the first floor we relocated the kitchen, dining, and laundry room. With the rear addition we were able to enlarge the kitchen and dining and add in a powder room, secondary playroom, mudroom and back entry.
On the second floor, the back half was entirely reconfigured. We added a primary suite and a hallway bathroom.
With this being a historic home, we left the existing windows in place as well as the trim and baseboards. We kept and refinished the existing stairway railing. The primary bathroom was moved to be more user friendly.
We made cosmetic upgrades throughout the home for a cohesive look that matches the homeowner’s style which was transitional with industrial elements.

This bathroom / Laundry used to be really un-user friendly, and was in desperate need of a Renovation.
We removed every item from both rooms including the gib and floor boards, and transformed the Bathroom and Laundry into this fantastic useable space.

This project was a complete tear out and remodel. What was a very dark, out dated, dysfunctional kitchen was transformed into a bright user friendly kitchen. New Bridgewood Advantage Richfield cabinetry in Maple was installed, along with quartz countertop, ceramic tile backsplash and new Duraceramic flooring. Other details include a tambour appliance garage, wine cooler and display shelving. Undercabinet and recessed lighting was installed. Pull out baskets were added to the blind corner cabinet to better utilize that space.

We renovated the existing original bathroom to make better use of the limited space, all the while keeping the time period look of the home. We removed the shower walls and replaced them with glass panels to give more room in the shower and create a more open bathroom. No one looking at the new bath can even believe it is the same space as the original. It was a fun project making the tight bathroom more user friendly.

This small kitchen remodel by Revival House's Bre Perrigo is a dramatic update, bringing the kitchen into the 21st century! The main elements include white shaker cabinetry with blue accents, bronze hardware, and stainless steel appliances. These new selections along with the new layout add some serious aesthetic value, not to mention functionality, creating a space that feels fresh and inviting.
The Decor's shaker cabinetry in Chantilly Lace is the main focal point of the kitchen, accented by touches of Santorini Blue. The simplicity of the shaker style contributes to the overall clean and timeless look. Top Knobs' Ellis Pull in Honey Bronze hardware adds a touch of elegance and warmth to the space. This combination of white and bronze creates a classic and sophisticated feel. The blue accents break up the white and bronze color scheme, adding depth and visual interest to the space.
The new kitchen design focuses on maximizing storage and improving the layout. The new cabinetry provides ample storage space while ensuring that everything has its designated place. The layout was reconfigured to create a more efficient and user-friendly space, making cooking and entertaining a breeze.
Overall, this small kitchen remodel aims to create a clean and quaint space with white shaker cabinetry, bronze hardware, stainless steel appliances, and blue accents. The result is a kitchen that not only looks beautiful but also offers improved storage and layout functionality compared to the original kitchen.

Designed by Kelsey McDaniel of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Richmond, VA this bathroom remodeling project features a transitional style inspired design with Merillat Classic cabinets in the door style Rowan in the Mist finish paired with Vicostone countertops in Valley White with 1/4" Bevel Edge.
The bathroom includes Kohler fixtures along with Marazzi Blue Gray Matte 8" Hex floor tile, Roca Statuary White 4 x 10 Subway shower wall tile, MSI Stone Blend Glass 12 x 12 Sheets shower accent tile and Marazzi Blue Gray Matte 1 1/2" Hex shower floor tile.
“I am in love with my new bathroom,” said the client. “I have a gorgeous free standing bathtub that is the first thing your eyes settle on as you step into the room and is the centerpiece of the entire room while still allowing plenty of room to walk around to the windows and rest of the room.”
“The hardest part of the remodeling project was envisioning how to use the existing space in a different and more user friendly way. My Reico designer Kelsey was invaluable in this regard and helped me to create the bathroom I had always hoped to have. I am extremely happy and grateful that I went to Reico for my project.”
“The biggest design challenge of this space was to maximize the entirety of the bathroom without making it feel overly done. The client had a desire to enlarge the shower, remove the existing jacuzzi and surround, as well as incorporate a soaking tub for relaxation,” said Kelsey.
“Because this was a massive space, we wanted to incorporate larger tile for a pop of color and dimension to reel in the openness a bit and draw your eye inward. We offset that dark tile with satin nickel fixtures, light cabinets, and light counter tops. It was a perfect balance of contrast throughout. The client had a vision and needed someone to make that a reality for her. I was very grateful to be that designer.”

Better Homes & Gardens landscaping software is very user-friendly, which means you’ll be creating the moment you load the software onto your computer. You merely tell the software what kind of dimensions you’re working with and then you can play around with the options available by the software program. For instance, with the click of a mouse, you can add a bush here, a rose garden there, or you can even put in a little man-made pond, the choices are all up to you. Playing with the different options available is all part of the fun. Of course, the best part is when your vision is actually realized and when you finally get the yard you’ve always wanted.
In choosing a home and garden decor, first, you have to know what you want and what style you are looking for. One way of determining which décor to buy is by setting a theme for your garden. Thin about what you would like your garden to look like — what accessories you would like to see, and what plants and trees you’d like to add. Here are some of the theme ideas that you can incorporate with your home and garden decor: butterfly, temple, sundial, Japanese, water, winter, and jungle.
Home furnishing:
As any professional interior decorator will tell you, each room within the house has a certain function and a certain character. It is necessary to recognize this innate character before one can go about furnishing the room appropriately. Indoor decor leans heavily on the right use of color, lighting, and furnishing. For instance, the role of curtains, decorative rugs, objects of art and other decorative materials must be complimentary. Every object within the room must contribute seamlessly to the total effect.
Garden furnishing:
The garden is typically the extension of the home. It is where we seek to establish an instant connect with nature. For many, it is the place dedicated to the pleasure of cultivation and abundant growth. Even homes in urban areas where garden space is limited make the effort to transform the garden into a haven of sorts.
The use of unusual, whimsical and colorful furniture and objects of art can transform the garden into something that is out of a fairytale book. For example, whimsically designed benches and tables are available in the most stunning colors. These pieces of furniture greatly add to the appeal of the garden. In addition to this, pieces of art may be strategically scattered around the garden to make it colorful and beautiful. By adding these pieces of art to your garden space, it is possible to achieve the perfect balance between beauty and utility that characterizes great outdoor spaces.
When you want to landscape your yard, you typically hire someone to come out and give you a quote. However, what if you could do it all yourself with Better Homes & Gardens landscaping software? You’re probably thinking that you don’t have the artistic ability, or the know how to landscape your yard yourself. However, with Better Homes & Gardens landscaping software, you don’t need to be artistically inclined, nor do you need any knowledge of how to landscape a house or yard. All you need is a computer, a mouse, and a little time and a lot of imagination. With Better Homes & Gardens landscaping software, the sky’s the limit as far as what you can create, not to mention it’s a lot of fun to create the yard you want.

This condominium project was in serious need of an over haul. Designer was called in to design a water wise user friendly landscape. Every thing was bulldozed off so that a new patio with planters, trees, shrubs and perennials could be installed. Every thing was water wise and the patio welcomes residents to spend time outside.

While respecting the history and architecture of the house, we created an updated version of the home’s original personality with contemporary finishes that still feel appropriate, while also incorporating some of the original furniture passed down in the family. Two decades and two teenage sons later, the family needed their home to be more user friendly and to better suit how they live now. We used a lot of unique and upscale finishes that would contrast each other and add panache to the space.

The task was to transform a timeworn two bedrooms unit at Edmonton government flats into a contemporary-style apartment. The building was constructed in 2000, and the client requested to modify the place with minimum structural changes. Therefore the whole renovation includes the least demolishes and reconstructions.
We removed the previous pantry that was broken at that time and redesigned it in a user-friendly manner. More space was given for the dining area by replacing the ‘u-shaped’ old pantry counter with a simple straight unit. We made sure to add extra storage space up to the height of the ceiling. The main construction challenge was to renovate the existing bathrooms. Kalota changed its appearance by carefully paying attention to waterproofing and adding new accessories and tiles. The living room was transformed into a more spacious seating area with modern furniture and the correct balance of lighting. We applied colors and wall textures to enhance the contemporary ambiance. The fabrications of the interior were completed under the supervision of Kalota. A special thank goes to the client for providing us with the necessary freedom to design and complete the project.
