Kitchen - contemporary kitchen idea in Philadelphia

These homeowners purchased this house for their retirement years. To make their retirement even more sweet, we took this confined and dated home and opened it up by raising and widening doorways, replacing carpet with hardwoods, and bringing more light through the whole space. To add detail and visual interest, 2-piece casing and paneling were added in the main hallway. The custom master bathroom includes inset cabinetry and a curved tub panel. Clients had a maple wood kitchen with rust and ivory tile. They wanted a fresh, new look for their kitchen. We had the kitchens removed and sprayed white, added tile up the window wall, refreshed the island, changed counters, and put in new lighting.

Inspiration for a contemporary powder room remodel in Philadelphia

Part of the larger Kitchen and Scullery renovation, the adjacent living room was thoughtfully refreshed to better align with the scale and character of the space. The outdated tile was removed and the fireplace was built out to emphasize the height of the cathedral ceilings, creating a stronger architectural focal point. Our team custom designed and built a new mantel, paired with a black slate 12x24 tile surround and hearth, bringing a clean, elevated look that anchors the room.

Our clients wanted to refresh a dated dining room. The before boasted rust colored grasscloth, plantation shutters and brown/rust/olive color scheme. We wanted to give this space new life by adding white walls, millwork and some bright, fresh furnishings.

The refreshing white of this brand-new kitchen is gorgeously accented by the rich, warm tones of a Walnut island and a hammered copper range hood (trimmed with distressed reclaimed wood). Warm lighting highlights display cabinets and warms the under-cabinet work spaces. Corbels and X-features on the ends of the expansive central island add another level of sophistication and style to a clean, crisp space. And behind the panels and doors of this kitchen lie not only high quality, high capacity appliances, but clever storage solutions for all the core kitchen zones. Additional storage space is organized in a cohesive, galley-style butler's pantry just off one end of the kitchen.

This Observatory Park Home had a functional kitchen but was dark and dreary. It also needed an appliance upgrade and some updated features like lighting plumbing and backsplash. The layout was functional, however the island lacked space. We did a full rip out and replace of the cabinets, countertops, light fixtures, and plumbing. We expanded the island for more storage and added an under-counter microwave.
