To make the entertainment room more sound proof during high-energy movies, I included two pairs of doors that enclose the space. Plus I upholstered the walls in green velvet and chose a large upholstered sofa, which are all sound-absorbing/blocking elements when "Top Gun" is playing on the wide-screen TV!

The art nouveau Lalique chandelier is a family heirloom that infuses the dining room with family history and sentiment. I love the layering of different design periods in a room. The doors in the adjacent entertainment room can be closed to create a cozier, private dining experience and block audio from the TV.

My clients have built an eclectic, colorful art collection, which is a mix of their own pieces and some from their parents. I rearranged a few pieces as necessary, creating a design that works with those colors and styles. The result is a sophisticated, classic vibe that is comfortable for day-to-day living and entertaining. The velvet upholstered walls help absorb sound when it's movie night!

My clients smile every time they see the playfully artistic pattern of the wall covering in their primary bedroom. I echoed the magenta and soft fuchsia of the flowers in the amethyst fabric of the headboard and bed frame. The painted walls also pick up the soft fuchsia theme. For the existing chaise lounge, I chose a geometric jacquard velvet fabric with a three-D visual effect. For the existing armchair and ottoman, I chose lavender velvet with random shading that creates another textural effect. Notice the subtle cheetah print of the carpet - grrrrreat!
