Our house was built 70 years ago by a camellia enthusiast, Dr. J.M. Habel. For whatever reason, nature rewarding us after a hard year of the pandemic, or the 6" of rain we got in February, but the hundreds of camellias he planted, bred, and nurtured, exploded in flowers this year and put on a dazzling show. If you are interested in camellias, Bob Black with Bennett's Creek Nursery in Smithfield, Virginia is an expert.

This was a straight forward and very rewarding update to a very functional kids homework station. Painted cabinets, added hardware, changed out wood top to leathered granite with 4" backsplash, new furniture and accessories!

Lauren Hunt from Reico Kitchen and Bath in Charlotte, NC, worked with The Atta Group to design a transitional-inspired kitchen and bar using Masterpiece cabinetry. The kitchen features Masterpiece cabinets in the Martel Evercore doorstyle in a Frost finish on the perimeter. The kitchen island and bar area both features the same doorstyle with a combination of two different finishes, Riverbed and Shortbread. The countertops are Calacatta Macchia Vecchia Sapien Stone Porcelain. The client shared their experience, saying, “I love the range hood and the slatted island decor. Riverbed is a beautiful color in both sun and shade. Lauren’s advice to get samples and lay them out in different lighting was invaluable. She went above and beyond, even coming out in the parking lot on a hot summer day to help us. We truly couldn’t have done this without her. Lauren was always patient and supportive as we made decisions, and she never pressured us. Any future projects we have, we’ll 100% reach out to Lauren. She even welcomed our newborn to the showroom!” Lauren shared, “The clients came with a clear aesthetic vision and plenty of inspiration photos, but they gave me the freedom to recommend and create a space that worked for their growing family while still looking great. We added design details like two-toned dining room cabinets, dark accent shelves in glass towers, an arched valance to match the doorways, and a custom hood that pulls from the island finishes. My favorite element is the slatted accent on the island, which the installers executed perfectly. This renovation was a big project, starting with a blank slate, which can be overwhelming with so many options. But it was incredibly rewarding to work with these clients who had such a creative vision. We really worked together to create a space that met their needs while showcasing their style. After many months of hard work on a project, there is nothing more rewarding than showcasing the final product and this custom home renovation is one we are incredibly proud of. Once just a tiny bungalow, this newly renovated Decatur home has been elevated into a modern white brick home filled with functional and flexible living spaces perfectly suited for its homeowner’s lifestyle. From a double duty kitchen and airy living room to the versatile office/bar, this custom renovation project has everything needed and more.

This neglected farmhouse has found a new family. Together we will undo the exterior muddling of the past, restore the interior spaces and create an amazing home for future generations to enjoy. As part of the process, we are improving the function, durability, energy efficiency and appearance of this home. We are converting a screen porch into a much-needed mudroom, air sealing the walls, increasing the insulation throughout, using resilient materials, and restoring the trim with classic details. Thanks to the amazing clients and excellent building crew, this restoration has been a truly rewarding process; transforming a village eyesore into a beautiful home.

White floors can be challenging to use, but when pulled off correctly are extremely rewarding. An instant statement-maker, they often present the challenge of maintenance. For Nordland, we specifically created a slightly weathered pattern with darker knots, so that they do not reveal dirt as quickly. The most important specification for determining the durability of vinyl flooring is the thickness of the wear-layer. The best wear-layers are made of thick, clear virgin PVC, which covers the paper print-film that gives the floor its unique appearance. Once the wear-layer wears through, the paper is damaged and the floor will need replacement. Most vinyl floors come with a 8-12 mil wear-layer (0.2-3 mm). The top commercial specs in the industry are higher, at 20-22 mil (0.5 mm). A select few manufacturers offer a “super” commercial spec of 28 mil (0.7 mm). For Modin, we decided to set a new standard: 40 mil (1.0 mm) of premium virgin PVC. This allows us to offer an industry-leading 20 year Commercial Warranty (Lifetime Residential), compared to nearly all other commercial vinyl floors’ 10 year Commercial Warranty. Beyond our superior wear-layer, we also use a patented click mechanism for superior hold, and a ceramic-bead coating. SIZE MATTERS Wider and longer planks create a sense of space and luxury. Most vinyl floors come in 6” or 7” widths, and 36” or 48” lengths. For Modin, we designed our planks to be 9” wide, and 60” long. This extra large size allows our gorgeous designs to be fully expressed. DETAILS THAT COUNT We made sure to get all the details right. Real texture, to create the feel of wire-brushed wood. Low sheen level, to ensure a natural look that wears well over time. 4-sided bevels, to more accurately emulate the look of real planks. When added together they help create the unique look that is Modin. DESIGNS THAT INSPIRE We spent nearly a year just focusing on our designs, to ensure they provide the right mix of color and depth. Focusing on timeless wire-brush and European Oak styles, as well as more contemporary modern washes, our collection offers truly beautiful design that is both functional and inspiring.

A custom walnut vanity anchors the space, complemented by brass plumbing fixtures and layered tile that adds depth and visual interest. The result is a calming, sophisticated retreat that’s both beautiful and functional, and a rewarding transformation for everyone involved.

The first thing you notice about this property is the stunning views of the mountains, and our clients wanted to showcase this. We selected pieces that complement and highlight the scenery. Our clients were in love with their brown leather couches, so we knew we wanted to keep them from the beginning. This was the focal point for the selections in the living room, and we were able to create a cohesive, rustic, mountain-chic space. The home office was another critical part of the project as both clients work from home. We repurposed a handmade table that was made by the client’s family and used it as a double-sided desk. We painted the fireplace in a gorgeous green accent to make it pop. Finding the balance between statement pieces and statement views made this project a unique and incredibly rewarding experience. Natural white oak treads flow from the hardwood floors below, making the staircase feel fundamental to the home rather than inserted into it. White painted risers and pin balusters keep the composition light and open, letting natural light move freely through the space. The glossy black handrail and newels add an edge to the design, creating definition against the white paint and warm oak elements. Tying it together, the over-the-post balustrade creates a flowing line that draws the eye up. This 1927 home was prime for a Kitchen Remodel. The floor Plan was still original and these remodel projects can be the Best Projects because the change and excitement for the Client is very rewarding. Santosa 06 is the built-in solution that transforms any environment into a private relaxation area, where one is free to let himself go and regenerate his senses. Every detail was studied to make the experience even more fascinating and rewarding: the heater to ensure the appropriate temperature of use, the internal lights and the audio system complete the pleasure of the immersion while creating the right atmosphere. The technical compartment, entirely waterproof to avoid any leaks or flooding, is directly inserted inside the tub's perimeter to make sure no other plumbing or electrical systems are needed. Fully built-in self-supporting structure in stainless steel AISI 316L, fully TIG welded, reinforced with a tubular frame that can be disassembled into two sections: the technical part and the tub part only, so that it can fit into the smallest spaces. Microperforated plates, directly on the tub's frame to make the internal shapes look linear and clean; one at the bottom for suction and three to release the filtered water evenly over the entire surface of the tub. Access to the technical area through a technical inspection hatch on the outer part. 4 microperforated areas for the AIR-MASSAGE system, directly on the tub's frame to make the internal shapes look linear and clean, each with 49 micro-holes and located in the lower back and calf area.
