The lighting we chose was also intentional to maintain the aesthetic appeal from floor to ceiling. Built-ins all throughout the home provide subtle pops of color and were used to maximize function in each space. The exterior elements of the home were also important as our family loves being outdoors. We created multiple outdoor spaces including a large deck off of the dining area, a winding staircase to the covered brick patio surrounded by the fenced garden area, and an easily accessible pond, fire pit, and chicken coop in the back yard.

The client brought me in to address an issue with the tiles in the kitchen. The blue tiles shown on the wall were also on the floor which were popping out and causing problems to step on. The challenge was to maintain the Di Giulio kitchen and not rip it off the walls or build a toe kick which would hide the elevated cabinets. The solution was to choose a gray slate porcelain tile called, Stainless Steel by Daltide and cut a border line to frame the floor under the islands. As a result the gray toned done the heavy swimming-pool blue tile that overwhelmed the kitchen.

Designed to match the existing cabinets in a 100+ y.o. home. Includes a tall cabinet for brooms, etc. The others have adjustable shelving, also made of pine. Pine came from the customer's old stock of pine T&G boards, which I used as-is but also ripped for face frame and door frame use. I sanded off the uneven patina so the pine was stain-able (even though the customer may have chosen to paint it). Customer did choose to stain, and did that themself.
