This family room remodel features reclaimed barn wood wall panels that bring warmth, texture, and authentic rustic character to the space. The natural wood tones complement the exposed ceiling beams, vaulted wood ceiling, and wood-burning stove, creating a cozy cabin-inspired retreat. Installed as a feature wall, the reclaimed wood adds timeless appeal while preserving the room's inviting atmosphere. Perfect for family rooms, cabins, mountain homes, and rustic interiors, these real wood panels provide a distinctive architectural finish.

Hand Hewn Timbers of salvaged from neighboring Wisconsin frame the entry portal and ceiling of this rustic cabin mudroom, setting the tone for the antique charm found throughout the home. Reclaimed wood paneling in warm mixed honey and brown tones wraps the mudroom wall, bringing the marks and dents created by the inexact hand tools of 19th century Wisconsin farmers right to the front door.
This entry shows how reclaimed wood can make a powerful first impression in even the most hardworking spaces in a home.
Whether you are a homebuilder, a home remodeling contractor, or a homeowner, Manomin Resawn Timbers has been helping people discover the antique charm of reclaimed wood since 2002. Visit our showroom in Hugo, MN or reach out to us with a call or a message.

Located near Ennis, Montana, this cabin captures the essence of rustic style while maintaining modern comforts.
Jack Watkins’ father, the namesake of the creek by which this home is built, was involved in the construction of the Old Faithful Lodge. He originally built the cabin for he and his family in 1917, with small additions and upgrades over the years. The new owners’ desire was to update the home to better facilitate modern living, but without losing the original character. Windows and doors were added, and the kitchen and bathroom were completely remodeled. Well-placed porches were added to further integrate the interior spaces to their adjacent exterior counterparts, as well as a mud room—a practical requirement in rural Montana.
Today, details like the unique juniper handrail leading up to the library, will remind visitors and guests of its historical Western roots.
