The design intent was to maximize the room's square footage and provide an area for each sister to store clothes and display their sentimental items. Bunk beds (a space-saving move!) made room for a cozy reading nook! Design vision | Playful, functional and cheery

This guest bath has a few special touches. My client wanted it to have a some sentimental value without looking too personalized. On the tile mural on the back wall the wine bottle has the year this couple was married, and the napkin has a N for their last name.

We spend a lot of time and money when picking out the perfect furniture for our outdoor living areas. There is often a sentimental attachment to these items. Over time, cushions become soiled or discolored, but can be refreshed with a thorough cleaning. It is a priority to properly maintain these treasures.

This chair belonged to the owner’s Grandfather. Identified early as a piece with sentimental importance, we sought a safe spot with increased visibility. Adding to the story, we layered a textile from the Middle East, a memento from the client’s time in the military

Vintage furniture from the 1950's and 1960's fill this Palo Alto bungalow with character and sentimental charm. Mixing furniture from the homeowner's childhood alongside mid-century modern treasures create an interior where every piece has a history.

We completely transformed a 70s kitchen with fresh new white cabinets, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. At the client's request we preserved the wallpaper border and wallpaper on the ceiling because they had sentimental value. it was a delicate job installing new cabinets without damaging the paper.

When our clients purchased a brand new home that was already finished, they were excited to start over with new furniture too except for a few family heirloom pieces that had sentimental meaning. So they called on our interior design firm who had worked with them before to solve their design dilemma.

This was a full gut an renovation. The existing kitchen had very dated cabinets and didn't function well for the clients. A previous desk area was turned into hidden cabinetry to house the microwave and larger appliances and to keep the countertops clutter free. The original pendants were about 4" wide and were inappropriate for the large island. They were replaced with larger, brighter and more sophisticated pendants. The use of panel ready appliances with large matte black hardware made gave this a clean and sophisticated look. Mosaic tile was installed from the countertop to the ceiling and wall sconces were installed over the kitchen window. A different tile was used in the bar area which has a beverage refrigerator and an ice machine and floating shelves. The cabinetry in this area also includes a pullout drawer for dog food.
