After the Thanksgiving meal, everyone gathers in my client's family room to play games, talk and watch TV. In her family room, the fireplace is the focal point. With this in mind, I've added the sign Gather, to touch upon the sentiment of this holiday and the joy of everyone spending time together.

Faced with extensive water damage to their home, the Patel’s turned to Cantoni designer Andrea Petor to infuse new life into their family’s beloved weekend retreat in Montgomery, Texas. Balancing the client’s minimalist wants with their love of hosting, Andrea created a cohesive design to accommodate their frequent guests and large extended family. Beginning with the kitchen remodel, Andrea worked with the Patel’s to identify the best layout for the space, understanding it would be used regularly for entertaining. To maximize storage space, Andrea designed custom floor to ceiling cabinetry finished in high gloss white lacquer. She selected Miele optic white appliances to enhance the sleek design. Andrea had a custom dining table built into the island to provide ample seating and ensure the entire family could enjoy meals together. The kitchen’s monochromatic color palette was carried throughout the interiors allowing the home’s beautiful waterfront views to take center stage. Adding richness and texture to each room, Andrea selected sculptural, modern furnishings to complete the space and bring the Patel’s vision to life.

When our clients purchased a brand new home that was already finished, they were excited to start over with new furniture too except for a few family heirloom pieces that had sentimental meaning. So they called on our interior design firm who had worked with them before to solve their design dilemma.

The black hutch was originally a dated oak finish. Because of its sentimental value and to match the kitchen island we had it finished in black and distressed to match. Its final spot was on the wall behind where the picture was taken to be in the same sight line as the island.

A beautiful, walnut butler’s pantry flanks the kitchen and was built with care to incorporate a special mosaic tile backsplash that was a sentimental piece of history for the homeowner.

Go for it! We just love it when clients are open to making a statement and have no fear of being bold and getting their graphic on! This funky chevron style porcelain plank from Spec Ceramics stands on it's own and is adorned with a live edge wood mantle that was salvaged from a downed tree on the property. Giving spaces their own family story and bringing in the sentimental is key to making your house a home.

To the west of the driveway, boxwood hedges, white peonies, white shrub rose, and red barberry border a gravel pathway that leads the homeowners to the rose garden which holds a sentimental value.

This two-tone kitchen features two popular shaker style doors, the Rosemary and the Brookside. Drawer fronts have our 5-piece header option, bringing a touch of traditional sentiment to the space. A soft, dark stain is used for the island, contrasting with the stark white perimeter. This effect defines the space, dividing the living area and kitchen while maintaining an open and airy feel.

This softly patterned area rug imparts a hint of antiquity for a relaxing sentiment. Weather-resistant polypropylene fibers keep this rug looking great for years to come. Perfect for an outdoor room or sunroom. Easy style for any type of décor. Aqua and cream.

Front entry to Ron and Nancy Darling's 2002 Street of Dreams home. Real stone and wood outriggers with a sandcast clay tile roof greet visitors. The most heard comment during the tour which lasts seven weeks was "I could live here." A sentiment Ron and Nancy strive to achieve in every home they design.
