We have been lucky enough to work with some of the Tampa Bay area’s best builders. For this model home, we teamed up with Bakerfield Homes in Wesley Chapel. This home, and our work, was featured in HouseTrends magazine. The article does a very nice job of describing the process that was used to make this dream a reality. For this project we provided only cabinetry and hardware, which was Merillat Masterpiece and Amerock respectively.

The main feature of this amazing bedroom is space. The bedroom is decorated in a minimalist design style and has only the most essential pieces of furniture. Thanks to this fact, the bedroom really looks spacious.
In addition, white, which is one of the dominant colors here and blends perfectly with all the shades of black used in the interior, also visually expands the space of this bedroom.
Your bedroom could look like this one or even better. Just try the Grandeur Hills Group interior design service and appreciate the high quality of our work!

Here’s a quick grout cleaning and re-colouring job I completed in the town of Canvey Island, Essex. Canvey Island lies on the south east coast, and lies just above sea level which in my job is always worth noting as the area can be prone to flooding. This wasn’t the problem here though, simply put, my client was unhappy with the colour of their grout, and wanted it re-coloured to a darker shade to match the grey Ceramic floor tiles.
Cleaning the grout before re-colouring is essential because, as many readers are probably well aware, grouts are porous and therefore can very easily absorb dirt and grease. Most often this will result in grout discolouration if not dealt with promptly.
So, as mentioned above the first step in the re-colouring process involved cleaning the grout lines. For this Tile Doctor has a special Pre-Treat Cleaner which is sprayed on and scrubbed into the grout to both remove any existing dirt and also to prepare the grout joints for a superior bond with the Grout Colourant. Once complete the grout lines looked clean and refreshed.
To clean the ceramic I diluted one part Tile Doctor Pro-Clean to three parts water, and used it to wash down the Ceramic tiles, leaving a consistent level of cleanliness across the entire floor. I then rinsed the floor with water which was then extracted using a wet vacuum and waited for 3 hours for the floor to dry.
Once dry, I began the process of applying the Charcoal Grey (as chosen by the client) Grout Colourant to the grout lines. As well as changing the colour the colourant also forms a barrier over the grout sealing it in and protecting it from future staining for years to come.
Then, once dry, the floor was given another quick clean using a light spray of water and a white buffing pad, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing sheen finish. My client was very happy with the outcome and now has the floor they wanted.

As you can see the prevailing color in the bedroom is white however there are a lot of colorful decorative elements such as pillows, paintings, book covers, rugs and the like that make the atmosphere in this room friendly and warm.
The main interior design element in the room is a luxury big bed decorated in a variety of shades of blue and white. These shades blend perfect with the snow white ceiling and walls.

Details of a Limestone patio I was asked to clean at a property in the affluent neighbourhood of Alderly Edge, Cheshire, famous for being the home of choice for several Premier League footballers. In fact Alderly Edge, which lies not too far south of Manchester and is one of the most sought after places to live in the UK. My client was unhappy with the look of the patio had previously been sealed using a topical sealer, and this had left the tiles looking dull and lifeless.
Limestone is a fantastic natural stone, popularly used for internal floors as well as patios, it comes in a variety of fantastic colours and shades. What my client really wanted for the patio was a wet look to bring out the character of the Limestone. So, my job was to strip the old sealer off and replace it will one that would achieve the desired finish.
To strip the old sealer from the patio, I used a series of fine diamond encrusted burnishing pads which are applied in order from Coarse, Medium, Fine and then Super Fine. The coarse pad is effective at stripping off sealer without damaging the tile, and without the need to use a liquid product. The finer burnishing pads then rebuild the appearance of the Limestone to provide a nice deep shine.
The new sealer of choice was Tile Doctor Colour Grow, which can be used on both internal and external natural stone surfaces. Colour Grow is an impregnating sealer which penetrates deep into the pores of the stone, providing both long-lasting resistance and durable protection against ingrained dirt and stains. As you can see from the photos, Colour Grow is also specially formulated to intensify the natural colours in the stone, and it really helped to bring the Limestone back to life again.
The finished job left this patio with the wet, polished look my client had requested. She was very pleased with the result and amazed by just how quickly such a marked difference could be made. Another happy client!

De-light-ful: Good job that we listened in geometry class, because here we put together isosceles triangles to create a masterpiece!
HERE’S WHAT WE NEED:
White lampshade, cutting surface, ruler, cutter, burnishing bone, paint brush, deco paint, tesa® Masking Tape PREMIUM CLASSIC 50 mm
AND THIS IS HOW IT’S DONE:
› Stick some strips of masking tape directly onto the cutting surface and cut them to squares using the cuter and the ruler, then halve them diagonally.
› Peel off the triangles and arrange them on the lampshade in your desired pattern.
› Use the burnishing bone to press down the edges completely.
› Use the paint brush to colour the remaining lampshade, but make sure to create an evenly opaque coat, as the lampshade will otherwise appear spotty.
› Leave the paint to dry before peeling off the masking tape.

Collaborations with builders on new construction is a favorite part of my job. I love seeing a house go up from the blueprints to the end of the build. It is always a journey filled with a thousand decisions, some creative on-the-spot thinking and yes, usually a few stressful moments. This Naperville project was a collaboration with a local builder and architect. The Kitchen Studio collaborated by completing the cabinetry design and final layout for the entire home.
Around the corner is the home office that is painted a custom color to match the cabinetry. The wall of cabinetry along the back of the room features a roll out printer cabinet, along with drawers and open shelving for books and display. We are pretty sure a lot of work must get done in here with all these handy features!
If you are building a new home, The Kitchen Studio can offer expert help to make the most of your new construction home. We provide the expertise needed to ensure that you are getting the most of your investment when it comes to cabinetry, design and storage solutions. Give us a call if you would like to find out more!
