This home office was created from an outbuilding on the property. Seagrass wall-to-wall carpet was installed for ultimate durability and a relaxed vibe. We employed a high-low aesthetic to create a space that was unique but still within budget, utilizing the owner's Stickley desk, a custom desk chair, custom blush Roman shades, a Hudson Valley Fenwater chandelier and sconces, and multiple office items from budget sources like IKEA and The Container Store. The ceiling is painted Quicksand and walls and trim in White Dove by Benjamin Moore. Photo by Sabrina Cole Quinn Photography.

This bright, cheerful “she shed” is part sunroom, part potting shed, and all about the owner’s love of color! Bavaria is available with either Maple or Red Oak pulls that can be stained in over 20 standard colors, or painted just about any shade you could ask for.

This projects shows first impressions are not always what they seam. The door opens to the surprise of the guests where an well appointed French Rococo interior awaits for afternoon tea.

When it became apparent mid-pandemic that “working from home” was going to be more than a short-term gig, this repeat client decided it was time to seriously upgrade her professional digs. Having worked together previously, this owner-designer-builder team quickly realized that the dilapidated detached garage was the perfect She-Shed location, but a full-teardown was in order. Programmatically, the design team was tasked with accommodating sports equipment, stroller parking, an exercise bike, wine storage, a lounge area, and of course, a workstation for this busy mama.
