Nancy Knickerbocker of Reico Kitchen and Bath in Southern Pines, NC worked with Tod Reid to design a kitchen featuring Merillat Classic and Masterpiece Cabinetry.
The kitchen includes Merillat Classic cabinets in the Ralston door style with a Mist finish on the wall cabinets and a Dusk finish for the base, island, and pantry cabinets. The window seat cabinetry features Masterpiece cabinets in the Rockwell door style with a Slate finish.
The kitchen design also incorporates Silestone Pearl Jasmine countertops, 12x14 Odine Silver floor tiles, 4x12 Metro White backsplash tiles, KitchenAid appliances, and a Whirlpool hood.
Nancy explained that the project involved updating the kitchen and widening the opening to the family room. "They wanted to improve the work area and provide seating at the island. Previously, there was a table at the bay window. We built a window seat below the bay window and relocated all appliances. Installing the range on the diagonal allowed for workspace on both sides. The island was designed to not impede the walkway from the hall door. The microwave drawer enabled us to add a range hood and a unique tile backsplash."
“The homeowners also wanted to incorporate a "watering station" for their dogs, so a drain was added near the water bowls. "I especially like the watering station; it's the first I've added to a kitchen remodel but probably won't be the last!" said Nancy.

Mid-sized mountain style kitchen photo in San Diego with raised-panel cabinets, medium tone wood cabinets, granite countertops, multicolored backsplash, stone slab backsplash and stainless steel appliances

A breathtaking new door can add instant curb appeal. We love these white portico entryways with lantern lighting, a wooden front door, and mixed siding and brick exterior.

This gem speaks for itself! This is our second landscape we designed for Vancouver builder, Salari. Our design included all walkways, stairs, patio, garden bed layout, deck design and a new west coast contemporary planting scheme. The deck design leads off from the dinning room, where dishes, outdoor eating and entertaining are easily enjoyed. Big enough for a large dinning table, barbq and upper seating area for mingling at large parties or family gatherings.
A bronze/copper paperbark maple was planted closely to the deck for visual interest, as well as providing some shading in the hot summer months. Under planted was ligularia Othello rayflower dotted with ‘river mist’ sea oats for a striking contrast. Blood red lobelia ‘elm fire’ and phormium are placed about for structural vertical interest. While nico red and northern mandarin lights azaleas will put on a show in the spring.
In the front meet and greet garden, large basalt columns, under planted in moss and wintergreen gaultheria, welcome you up the stairs. Cherry brandy rudebeckia, hot coral and salsa red Echinacea line the front garden bed borders with stunning Russian Olive trees on either side. Lastly liquid amber ‘slender silhouette’ trees were added to brighten, frame and ground the concrete wall and home.

Mid-sized elegant l-shaped medium tone wood floor eat-in kitchen photo in Providence with no island, shaker cabinets, dark wood cabinets, granite countertops, gray backsplash, porcelain backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an undermount sink and white walls

Used Legrand popout receptacles on the new raised bar. Countertop is Moonlight (also known as Dallas White) granite which also wraps the raised bar. Bar is topped with Black Galaxy granite.

When Monsignor wanted to remodel the kitchen in the rectory, he called upon George, owner of A.G. Remodeling and Building, LLC. Together with Magazi Kitchen and Bath, we designed and installed a personalized kitchen to fulfill Monsignor’s requirements which were as follows:
First, he wanted to keep his two 36” refrigerators which we were able to move into an alcove.
Second, he wanted an island which we were able to accomplish by taking in a closet to enlarge the foot print of the kitchen.
Third, we recommended all wood cabinets, shaker style in a honey stain as he desired a kitchen with earthy tones, not too expensive, and lots of storage. We achieved this with Wolf Classic full overlay Shaker doors with 42" tall wall cabinets, utility cabinets having pull out drawers and lots of drawer base cabinets with under mount soft close glides.
He was very happy with the quality of the cabinets, the amount of storage and the price point.
Fourth, Monsignor wanted a working kitchen, as he enjoys cooking. We installed a GE built-in 30” convection oven and microwave, a 36” cook top, and a 36” stainless steel vent with a capacity of 725 cfm, we were able to fulfill his request.
Fifth, he was very active in selecting his floor tiles, porcelain Centec Cotta Teja; counter top, Silestone Mountain Mist; backsplash, Temple Brick with random religious inserts; and even his knobs, Rung Pulls in brushed satin nickel by Top Knobs. Working with him was quite an experience.
With professional installation and creative design, Monsignor’s remodeled kitchen was not only beautiful but functional, just the way he wanted it. It was gratifying to know that we had exceeded Monsignor’s expectations.
