Conceived more similar to a loft type space rather than a traditional single family home, the homeowner was seeking to challenge a normal arrangement of rooms in favor of spaces that are dynamic in all 3 dimensions, interact with the yard, and capture the movement of light and air. As an artist that explores the beauty of natural objects and scenes, she tasked us with creating a building that was not precious - one that explores the essence of its raw building materials and is not afraid of expressing them as finished. We designed opportunities for kinetic fixtures, many built by the homeowner, to allow flexibility and movement. The result is a building that compliments the casual artistic lifestyle of the occupant as part home, part work space, part gallery. The spaces are interactive, contemplative, and fun. Inspiration for a contemporary living room remodel in Seattle

Our clients came to us looking to remodel their condo. They wanted to use this second space as a studio for their parents and guests when they came to visit. Our client found the space to be extremely outdated and wanted to complete a remodel, including new plumbing and electrical. The condo is in an Art-Deco building and the owners wanted to stay with the same style. The cabinet doors in the kitchen were reclaimed wood from a salvage yard. In the bathroom we kept a classic, clean design.

Designed and built by Terramor Homes in Raleigh, NC. This open design concept was an exciting challenge. Kitchen, Family Room and Large Eat in Kitchen are entirely open to each other for family enjoyment. When we enjoy a large family gathering, we envisioned it to be while enjoying the view of the woods, greenway and river seen from the back of the home. Since most of our gatherings extend past single table seating spaces, we wanted to plan properly for spill over onto the huge screened porch that adjoins all of the rooms for extended seating that remains all-inclusive. The screened porch is accessible from the dining area, but more impressively, by a 16 foot wide sliding glass door across the back wall of the Family Room. When fully opened, an 8 foot wide opening is created- making a complete extension of our living and eating areas fully integrated. M. Eric Honeycutt

These mirror sliding doors were hung on our Horseshoe Flat Track Kit. The owner of the space stated, "The mirrored doors and their arresting horseshoe track have received raves since the building opened in October. The horseshoes were perfect and added the casual country look the building needed. Because they are used often during events, the fact that they glide silently and effortlessly makes them ideal."
