This South Shore of Boston client approached the team of Renovisions to remodel her existing basement bathroom. This bath, with an outdated fiberglass shower stall was cracked and leaking into the concrete floor below. The room had inadequate storage, was dark and did not boost this home’s overall market value. It was definitely time for a Renovision and the client was excited to get started! She was looking forward to sharing the new space with guests that stay at her home and use the bathroom often. Working alongside this client was fun and productive as great design and product choices were selected together. In the design process, Renovisions presented a unique idea; using the basement foundation ledge for a shelf that ran into the shower area, gaining extra space for shampoos and soaps, eliminating the need for a niche. Another great idea was to implement a Grohe Smart Control valve which brings this shower experience to another level; they can choose ways to spray with the right degree of warmth. The stunning stream-lined shower trims in brushed nickel finish match the style and finish on the single-lever vanity faucet. The contrasting dark grey, large format porcelain floor tile’s texture resembles a linen-look pattern the client requested while complimenting the darker veining in the quartz curb, shelf and vanity countertop. The Carrera-look porcelain shower wall tiles boast no-maintenance and provides a clean, brighter appeal seen through the beautiful custom shower glass enclosure. We lightened up the bath with a light blue paint color which added a fresh look, giving the illusion of a bigger space. As you can see, with the right colors, textures and accessories, we transformed this basement bath from Drab to Fab. The client was thrilled with her basement Renovision, a true Breath of Fresh Flair’!

We brightened up this room by painting the recessed ceiling a bright teal, and adding custom decorative drapery panels in the same color. This 1950s home was sporting elements of the original kitchen and the dark space was not meeting our client’s needs. The original kitchen didn’t have much to offer in the way of functionality, so our first order of business was to create a design that would exponentially increase the usability of the kitchen. We brought in functional cabinetry, introduced uninterrupted work surfaces, and added plenty of lighting to brighten up their kitchen. They also wanted to open the new kitchen to the living room and create space for a larger dining table, so we started by removing the existing cabinetry that was visually cut the living space in two and minimized the power of the dramatic vaulted ceiling. We also extended the wood flooring into the kitchen as well to create seamless transitions between spaces. We fell in love with the idea of a two-toned cabinetry design for this kitchen and ultimately went head over heels for clean white painted base cabinets and a textured wood-look melamine on the uppers. This gave us a crisp backdrop that allowed us to bring is fun forms like the black light fixture over the table and the gorgeous silhouettes on the hardware. We played a lot with directionality in this space. The elongated open shelves and rectangular backsplash tiles give us wonderfully clean horizontal lines, but to balance those out we brought in a vertical grain pattern on the wall cabinets and added long black cabinetry pulls that emphasize the verticality of the space. The clients have a green thumb and wanted to make sure we created a home for their growing plant collection. The open shelving gives us plenty of opportunities for foliage and to showcase fun kitchen accessories. This design feels like home and brings together the clean lines and crisp finishes our clients were looking for.

This guest bathroom renovation consisted of a new floor and shower wall tile (to the ceiling), a new bathtub and plumbing fixtures, fresh vanity paint with new cabinet hardware, a vanity mirror and sconce, a one of a kind Turkish rug and a “birds in flight” shower curtain with coordinating hand towel.

The honey toned bathroom is an homage to bees and butterflies in this pollinator suite, a walk-in work of art for finding peace and beauty. Moth handles add warmth and whimsy to a custom vanity and matching mirror made in collaboration with a local artisan using locally salvaged sycamore. The artisan made sink is forged from hand hammered recycled copper. Vintage Limburg sconces with a pattern reminiscent of honeycombs gives off a golden glow over textured ceramic tiles. The overhead lighting also nods to honeycombs, leading to an inviting copper hued shower. The custom honeycomb tiles were made with Giallo Sienna marble, and inlaid with decorative bees. Copper tiles line a magical, shimmery shower space with a honey glow. Oil rubbed bronze accessories hold soaps and plantlife.

This charming Great Room was transformed into an inviting space for relaxation, reading, and socializing. This north-facing room comes to life with a rich colour scheme that also enhances the rich tones of the hardwood flooring, original to this cozy 1970's bungalow. Gone, however, are the bi-folding closet doors which too were original to the house -- they were replaced with sleek, sliding panels. By the time we were contacted to help our Clients with this decorating project, they had already begun the process, a few months prior, with the purchase of a cocktail table and side table, as well as a ceramic lamp. These accessories served as the starting point for the new room design, while inspiration came from the eclectic art collection that my Clients have acquired over the years, on their travels. This transitional style kitchen design in Northville, MI is truly the heart of the home. Situated next to the home’s entrance, and adjacent to the dining and living areas, this kitchen will be the natural focal point of family life. The tone for this bright kitchen is defined by the Crystal Cabinets frameless Meadowland style door in simply white painted finish. The classic white cabinetry is offset by a gray quartz countertop and Alyse Edwards Half Baked Collection tile in “Icing on the Cake”. The bi-level peninsula separates the kitchen work zones from the entry hall and includes a round tabletop end with barstool seating for casual dining. The peninsula incorporates a 5’ Galley Workstation with an undermount sink and a Signature Accessory Package that has dual tier cutting boards, bowls, colanders, and a drain rack. The sink area also has Brizo Artesso Smartouch faucets, a Pedalworks Faucet Controller, and a Brizo Artesso soap dispenser.
