This traditional kitchen design is packed with features that will make it the center of this home. The white perimeter kitchen cabinets include glass front upper cabinets with in cabinet lighting. A matching mantel style hood frames the large Wolf oven and range. This is contrasted by the gray island cabinetry topped with a wood countertop. The walk in pantry includes matching cabinetry with plenty of storage space and a custom pantry door. A built in Wolf coffee station, undercounter wine refrigerator, and convection oven make this the perfect space to cook, socialize, or relax with family and friends.

Small space living solutions are used throughout this contemporary 596 square foot tiny house. Adjustable height table in the entry area serves as both a coffee table for socializing and as a dining table for eating. Curved banquette is upholstered in outdoor fabric for durability and maximizes space with hidden storage underneath the seat. Kitchen island has a retractable countertop for additional seating while the living area conceals a work desk and media center behind sliding shoji screens.
Calming tones of sand and deep ocean blue fill the tiny bedroom downstairs. Glowing bedside sconces utilize wall-mounting and swing arms to conserve bedside space and maximize flexibility.

The Social Curve: The Story of a Dining Room
Every dining room tells a story, and this one is about connection. The journey begins with the boat-shaped table, a sculptural form that curves gently outward, breaking away from the rigidity of straight lines. Its silhouette creates a sense of movement and energy, shaping the room around moments of gathering and conversation.
The chairs, inspired by the elegance of the 1960s, were chosen as much for comfort as for their quiet sophistication. They invite you to linger, balancing function with style, and ensuring the space feels as inviting as it does refined.
Light streams through the windows, softening the architecture and highlighting the room’s layered textures. Above, a statement fixture adds rhythm and sparkle, completing a composition where every detail was considered, every choice intentional.
This is more than a dining room. It is The Social Curve, a space designed not just for eating, but for living, gathering, and creating enduring memories.

This project reimagines an under-used back yard in Portland, Oregon, creating an urban garden with an adjacent writer’s studio. Taking inspiration from Japanese precedents, we conceived of a paving scheme with planters, a cedar soaking tub, a fire pit, and a seven-foot-tall cedar fence. A maple tree forms the focal point and will grow to shade the yard. Board-formed concrete planters house conifers, maples and moss, appropriate to the Pacific Northwest climate.
