Bathroom - contemporary bathroom idea in DC Metro

The client's favorite colors of light blue, red and pink were used to created a lovely fresh and traditional living room. The colors were carefully selected to complement her existing oriental rugs and quilts.

With low windows and narrow floor plan, this kitchen was interesting design challenge. Multiple counter heights were used to provide a table height seating area and post and pan storage. With windows also cutting into the wall storage a large pantry was necessary to store the family's dry goods. A bank of 12" deep cabinetry at the stairs provides additional hidden storage. The end result is a high-functioning, bright and airy space the the client loves.

Inspiration for a contemporary deck remodel in San Francisco

The furniture was timeless and of high quality so we chose to reupholster everything in fresh yet traditional fabrics to complement her collection of oriental carpets and Americana quilts.

Love at First Sight…Not Always ;) Imagine walking into the bathroom of your newly purchased home, only to find a pair of silver-coated shower doors, front and center, to greet you. This homeowner was less than thrilled with the visual nightmare(as she called it), so we transformed the space by adding two doors framed by moulding to conceal this problem area. The inspiration for the mural came from the client’s love of topiaries and French chateaus, and the walls and mouldings were washed with layers of glazes - all provided by Artistic Impressions.

This is the after picture of the living room windows. The top down bottom up feature of the shades allows for easy adjustment of the light from day to night time. The new white linen curtains add a fresh and airy feel to the room. And the custom valence effectively hides the corner pipes.

One of the biggest challenges in this kitchen was a lack of storage and functionality. When we first met with our clients, kitchen items had overflowed into the dining room, living room, breakfast room, and nearly every available wall space surrounding the kitchen. Countertops were cluttered because there simply wasn't enough room for everyday essentials. The homeowners wanted a kitchen that could efficiently store their appliances, serving pieces, dishware, pantry items, and food storage containers while keeping everything organized and easily accessible. To achieve their goals, we transformed the galley kitchen with custom frameless cabinetry extending to the ceiling, dramatically increasing storage capacity and maximizing every inch of available space. We also added an oversized pantry to house small appliances and other larger household items. Thoughtful storage solutions were incorporated throughout the kitchen, including pull-out trash and recycling bins, a knife drawer insert, spice pull-down organizer, tray divider pull-out, cutlery organizer, utensil pull-out, and oversized drawer pull-outs. Every cabinet now serves a purpose, creating a more organized and functional space while freeing up valuable countertop space. To complete the design, the homeowners selected beautiful brushed nickel hardware, elegant Taj Mahal quartz countertops, and a stunning farmhouse sink. The result is a kitchen that is not only beautiful but also designed to support the way they live every day.
