The addition of the kitchenette on the rooftop transformed the patio into a fully-functioning entertainment space. The retractable awning provides shade on the hottest days, or it can be opened up to party under the stars. Welcoming guests into their home is a way of life for the Novogratzes, and in turn was the primary focus of this renovation. "We like to have a lot people over on the day-to-day as well as holiday family gatherings and parties with our friends", Cortney explains. With both Robert and Cortney hailing from the South; Virginia and Georgia respectively, the couple have it in their blood to open their home those around them. "We always believe that the most important thing in your home is those you share it with", she says, "so we love to keep up our southern hospitality and are constantly welcoming guests into our home." This home is constructed in the world famous neighborhood of Lido Shores in Sarasota, Fl. The home features a flipped layout with a front court pool and a rear loading garage. This kitchen was designed by Dawn Whyte, of Designs by Dawn, a StarMark Cabinetry dealer in Petosky, Michigan. The kitchen was created with StarMark Cabinetry's Heritage door style in Maple finished in a cabinet color called Ivory Cream with Chocolate glaze. The cabinetry was distressed with Cottage Distressing. The drawers have optional five piece drawer headers.

A wood burning fire in the sitting area creates a toasty corner, even in an open plan room. A multi use space for entertaining and family life this project is still a hit, and a favourite of ours and the public. The space can be opened up to bring the outside, in. By opening up the huge sliding glazed doors onto the patio you create an even larger space where life can spill out into the garden, and equally lets nature into the home with a breath of fresh air. The pendant lights above the table from John Lewis – William Bottle Glass Pendants from the Croft collection £130 each. These are such simple lights with a hint of detail and a slightly industrial feel ties in beautifully with the metal star table lamp on the bespoke side table.

A warm and inviting screened porch featuring Adirondack chairs with red star-patterned pillows, a rustic round wooden coffee table, and string lights adorning the reclaimed wood beams. The space is complemented by a red and beige striped rug, offering a cozy ambiance with scenic outdoor views, perfect for relaxation or gatherings.
