This front yard renovation focuses on enhancing curb appeal through high-end masonry and a professional low-voltage lighting scheme. The project features a custom-tiered flagstone walkway with integrated LED step lights for safe, stylish access to the primary entrance.
To add texture and visual interest, we installed a winding natural stone path designed as a dry creek bed, utilizing smooth river rocks, large flagstone pavers, and natural moss boulder edging. The nighttime transformation is the highlight, featuring strategic uplighting on specimen trees and architectural path lights that create a warm, inviting glow across the new lawn and mulch beds.

This Ranch Hacienda hillside estate boasts well over 13,000 square feet under roof. A loggia serves as the backbone for the design. Each space, both interior and exterior, has a direct response to the linear expression of outdoor space.
The exterior materials and detailing are rustic and simple in nature. The mass and scale create drama and correspond to the vast desert skyline and adjacent majestic McDowell mountain views.
Features of the house include a motor court with dual garages, a separate guest quarters, and a walk-in cooler.
Silverleaf is known for its embodiment of traditional architectural styles, and this house expresses the essence of a hacienda with its communal courtyard spaces and quiet luxury.
This was the first project of many designed by Architect C.P. Drewett for construction in Silverleaf, located in north Scottsdale.

This cute backyard patio was renovated to provide an outdoor seating area with a firepit by Benintoshape, bar seating for entertaining and a cozy dining area adjacent to the kitchen. Barbara designed perennials and bulbs to be added to the existing shade garden spaces and new plantings were incorporated to provide more seasonal color and interest in the rose garden. New shade tolerant shrubs and groundcovers were added under a large Norway Maple tree that cast considerable shade in the backyard. A new stepping stone path provided access to the nearby sunny lawn and playscape in the side yard. The back and side yards were enclosed with a picket fence to keep the pets and children safe. Comfortable lounge furniture by Janus et Cie and pillows by Elaine Smith were placed in the renovated patio space. The dining area was covered with a Tuuci cantilever umbrella for additional shade in the afternoon.

This beautiful garden walk with slate stepping stones, garden trellis, and french drain area was added to this beautiful bedroom with a single French door with 2 crank out sidelights. The handscraped flooring in the bedroom inside, wall sconses and crown molding were all done by our crew. Grading the patio area, installing the French drain, slate stepping stones, trellis, and all general construction was completed by our in house staff. Photos by Lester O'Malley

This is a California xeriscape succulent garden. Clients wanted color and texture with drought-resistant plant materials. They enjoy garden sculptures, so we included a Buddha and a Roman bust planted with succulents. The previous owners of the property left behind some old San Francisco cobblestones, which we incorporated into the new design, using them as garden steps.
We built low, raised beds out of stone, also existing on the property, and used containers along steps and against existing concrete walls to soften the hard surfaces.

This natural stone stepping pathway creates a charming and functional walkway through a landscaped side yard. Set in a bed of decorative gravel, the irregular flagstone pieces provide a visually appealing and durable surface that blends seamlessly with the surrounding greenery and mulch beds. The design offers excellent drainage, low maintenance, and a soft, organic aesthetic that enhances the outdoor environment while guiding movement between spaces. Perfect for residential landscapes seeking a balance between practicality and natural beauty.
