We had the pleasure of working with a wonderful photography studio called Portraits by Ryan. Through our thoughtful designs, we created an open, light space for Ryan to work in with a contrasting white interior and black furniture that oozes class. In the reception area, we wanted to display his beautiful logo above the counter to make it a big statement when you enter. Beautiful pendant lighting against warm wood creates a stylish appeal. Inside, we stuck to the monochrome look throughout the studio, including using this grey wire to hang parts of Ryan’s amazing portfolio.

This home was stuck in the "80's" and in desperate need of a face lift. We achieved the transformation by lightening the spaces, changing the fireplaces, and completely redoing the Master Bath. The Powder Room was changed from an ordinary space into a little jewel box. Complete with 24k fixtures and tiles to complement the wall covering. The Master Bedroom became a sanctuary with its soft silver and dusty aqua tones. In the Kitchen we chose to refinish the cabinets rather than replace them. The result was stunning. What a change! The dining room is modern and sophisticated, with flashes of color in the chairs, and a giant agate centerpiece trough. Quite the upgrade from what was there before. The living room features a beautifully restored Steinway piano. Plus, custom furniture and area rug. All in all, a real showpiece. One that is sophisticated, inviting, and comfortable. Amazing remodel of a large bathroom stuck in the early 2000s in terms of design. Stunning marble mosaic tile on the walls (shower back wall, tub surround walls, vanity back splash) partners with large format porcelain tile on the floors. A free standing tub has views of the trees outside and a wall mounted television set as well. The decorative light sconces mounted on the vanity mirrors compliment the plumbing fixture finish of burnished gold.

We recently renovated our kitchen. It is so challenging for an interior designer to design their own home. I am so critical of myself and I would hate to have me as a client. I get stuck. So, I decided to keep it simple and focus on the elements, influences and colors I love and never get tired of. All my “loves” are in this space - contrasting black and white, Art Deco era, chinoiserie, porcelain and color green, the perfect color of nature. Of course I did not forget about all the important functional things like good flow, functionality, plenty of storage and a large peninsula for entertainment. I love this eclectic space and. all the elements in it.

This homeowner had two goals: 1. Create a space with flow for entertaining. 2. Imbue it with flawless style. We helped them accomplish both. The high quality Medallion cabinetry holds it own with the polished Misterio Pental quartz on the island and the satin finish Mysore Black Pental quartz on the main counters. The farmhouse sink in the island allows the host to converse with guests while working at the sink instead of being stuck against a wall, and the bar seating allows guests to get comfortable while they enjoy their wine. The dry bar at the far end of the space makes wine and liquor storage look good while keeping the refreshments flowing at arm's reach.

At our Nolina project, we touched just about every room in the house. The homeowner had recently updated the flooring throughout the home, which gave us the perfect neutral base to build upon. From the beginning, our homeowner knew he wanted to brighten up the space but keep elements of drama and contrast. You’ll see that we stuck with a handful of finishes throughout these spaces to give a cohesive & luxurious feel.

When our client bought this house, it was stuck in limbo between the traditional interior and a 90's modern structure. The direction we took was a combination of calm beige color scheme with clean lines and smooth surfaces. The continuation of the same materials throughout the house finally bonded all the different spaces into a singular home. The two guest bathrooms were made with Cloe zellige style tiles and custom floating vanities made from white oak. The same oak was used also for the built-in TV wall as floating shelves and base cabinets with a large, tiled center piece for the recessed TV and the electric fireplace. The kitchen also received some of the white oak love in the form of the Island and the recessed cooking area. The biggest issue with the kitchen space was the lack of proportions between the width and its length vs. the extreme height of the vaulted ceiling. The solution I came up with was a secondary line of wall cabinets to be the same depth as the full height units to create a wrap around and make the space more proportionate. Continuing to the master bathroom, here we have a true walk-in master bath suite, no door needed with this size of space. All the walls received porcelain semi slab treatment. (72x36 porcelain tile) a lot of work went into selecting the correct tile pieces to give it the effect of a single slab installation but without the added cost. All fixtures are by Kohler with their fantastic modern gold finish. The result was a perfect flow of calm beige colors and warmth of natural wood throughout.

Corner shelves just stuck in the corner. Out they came. Notice the cheap solution for a door hinge. The work done by the previous owners was obviously done by a Carpenter or Handyman with no Design guidance or knowledge of how to improve his unimaginative solutions.

This client contacted us when she got stuck after purchasing a sofa and dining set for formal living/dining areas of her Port Moody home. She hired us to finish the rooms and asked us to do so with a touch of glamour. We were happy to oblige! We continued with the dramatic dark wood tones of the dining set and added some bling in the form of oversized mercury glass lamps as well as lots of crystal and chrome. Luxury materials like velvet and faux crocodile skin complete the look.
